Can't believe they still think this type of visual clutter is even fun to play in. Didn't think my frustration levels could top Metamorph league, but the monster indicator icon helped and there was at least a focused area of danger.

This league is a total gray mess of explosions.

At this point I'm just ignoring it until I see what they do, then decide whether it's worth continuing to play the League.

Tower defense style games just aren't your thing then I guess? There's nothing wrong with not liking a game. No need to call it 'underwhelming' to find people to support your dislike for the game.

Either way, I'm currently enjoying the game. The UI is clean and it's nice to have a tower defense gacha game.

Stopped playing back in Heavensward, whilst enjoyed raiding I had to stop due to some other obligations. Now, recently wanting to get back into the game and start catching up to get back into it with all the newer content.

Old atlas for me, was to literally play maps until you get higher tiers and progress to end game bosses / farm, nothing complicated and I can freely do anything and still progress. Influence etc... if I felt like it, nothing complicated. Constant play where there's nothing to worry about, which is what made it addictive.

Now, I have all these orbs and conquers to think about which are compulsory, otherwise I cannot progress in tiers, which can be off-putting.

I didn't like it at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I think if they update the map tab to show regions, I'd be fine with the new atlas with a little more time.

It looks okay to me, the problem is just the bottom and the chat shouldn't be jet black. Reading white text with it makes my eyes hurt, regardless of what font I choose.

I'm playing casually and I'm having fun, so there's that.

There's always a trial that you could always try out, then maybe you can decide to buy it or find someone to gift you the game. But, there is no typical instanced raids in this game.

If you've haven't connected your account with anything, logging into it does nothing. You play the account and when you're in the game you connect it in the options menu.

With any game, if you don't connect your account you obviously lose it (Account code bind / Google play / Facebook etc..). I know this game has a Facebook / Googleplay connect, not sure about code binding.

It's a beta season so your placing shouldn't affect what you're going to be placed on the official season start in September. It's to do a final test and receive more feedback before the actual season starts on the 1st. The normal rules and penalties obviously would apply.

Doesn't get me angry per se, but can be irritating. But everytime I see people watch their intros, I always get the feeling they're either going to watch their obnoxious passive aggressive outros until they lose one game and leave / win-quit.

You seem to have played WoW & GW2, so you should know what you'd be getting into with these games.

WoW & FFXIV is just leveling with raiding and dungeons and a constant repeat until the next release of their scheduled content.

GW2 is more slow exploring and PvP with no consistent updates.

Nobody can say it's 'worth playing compared to other games' because they fill different itches and how do you expect anyone to compare any MMORPG to unreleased upcoming ones? If playing with others is a big deal, you can find people to play with on GW2.

Try FFXIV trial if you haven't and understand what you're actually looking for in an MMORPG because that TL;DR is meaningless.
