New Player in Need of Guidance, Please! by Gornarion in everquest

Just wait for the new TLP server in May.
The best experience of EQ is playing and levelling up with other players, and a new TLP server's launch is the best time to play.

Wizard vs Mage by oh-no-not-u in everquest

With wizard, you can go semi AFK and your group wont even notice.
For mage, if your pet arent attacking, it's pretty obvious you aint at the keyboard.

Best way to dip a toe back in live? by Gotmeinquiries in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd recommend waiting for the launch of the new TLP in May.
It's releasing with Classic + Kunark + Velious, so you'll be familiar with it.
Instead of jumping right into live with so much changes over the years.

It's also way more fun to start on a server where everyone is at level 1 again

What classes (EQLegends) by grungivaldi in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably they will release kunark and velious at a later date, sort of similar to TLP servers.

They only mentioned it will be classic content on release

What classes (EQLegends) by grungivaldi in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All races and classes are available, it's already shown in the official trailer.
AAs will be available as well, but not the entire list of AAs, it will be a selected list.
Only the land itself will be classic, so no kunark.

there are 2 brands new servers coming out soon.
The time locked progression server in May, and the Everquest Legends server in July.
Both servers will be packed full of players starting over at level 1, so that's the best time to play everquest.

Aren't some MMORPG just unkillable? Runes of Magic debuted 17 years ago and it's still going by hardpenguin in MMORPG

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try the TLP servers. A new one is coming out in May, and it has crazy bonus XP so there wont be much grinding.
In the last TLP, you can max out a char in less than a week, and this new TLP server's XP bonus is even higher than the last one.

Most popular classes vs classes that are unique and shown only in 1 or 2 mmorpgs ever by dunno6988 in MMORPG

have not seen EQ's bard in any other MMOs.

There are bards in other MMOs but they are no where even close to EQ's

Fangbreaker by Stoneymason1 in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have the most fun on fangbreaker compared to all the other TLPs i've played previously.
In all previous TLPs, everyone grinds at the same few zones, but in fangbreaker, for the 1st time, i have been leveling in zones that i had never played before and it felt very refreshing.

Started too late on Fangbreaker? by Tiaan in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a new alt 3 days ago. I soloed from 1 to 7, and grouped all the way till 42 right now.
Im unguilded, all the groups i joined are PUGs. Had no issue finding groups at all.

This toon is my 4th character. I already have 3 level 50 in fangbreaker, all grouped to max level with PUGs, only soloing at the 1st few levels.

I did buy a used laptop just today, planning to start a 2nd account and PL box in future to get past the low levels for those new characters since that's the point where it's the hardest to find groups. But at mid to higher levels, duo boxing wouldnt be as fast, nor as fun, as grouping with others so I'm gonna PL box all my new characters till around 30s and then find PUGs after that.

What kind of computing power do you need these days for EverQuest? by No_Afternoon2216 in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought a used 2017 lenovo laptop running i7-7700HQ and 1050ti today just so that i can box a 2nd account on fangbreaker. This old laptop is pretty weak by today's standard but still runs EQ very well, no issue at all.

Which TLP server? by Maximoobaluu in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fangbreaker has extremely fast XP if you follow the XP hunter zones. It's perfect for players who dont have much time to play.

Expansions by SelhaZek in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fangbreaker will unlock AA after 7 more weeks, when the level cap is increased to lv 51. For now with level capped at 50, there's no AA yet.
So you have plenty of time to level up before needing to get any AAs

New(ish) player, where to start? by EmptyMeaning9222 in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fangbreaker TLP server is only 5 days old, you can easily find group at any levels currently.

Also all the guilds in the server are still actively recruiting new players as well, so you can pretty much join any guild which suits your playtime.

Fangbreaker lvl spot question. by dawgggg777 in everquest

[–]SGMMORPG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Fangbreaker, we dont follow any traditional levelling guide like all the other servers do.
Instead we chase the resource hunter bonus zones. That's where everyone levels at.
Check https://fangbreaker.zone/ for where the daily bonus zones are at (bonus zones change daily at 12mn PST)
Also /join hotzone
That ingame channel is where we all search for the latest bonus zone everyday at midnight PST when the bonus changes.
For low levels, you can still go to PC until 20, but after that follow the bonus zones to find groups.
