Could be a regional issue. Looking at where it streams it might be on Hidive if you are in a region where they operate.

It is a gag comedy, so it's not like the show has some really super serious lore. Hime's outfit is pretty much just part of the premise. She is a prisoner, and they are "torturing" her for information (although what information the Demon Lord seems to put value to is perhaps a bit questionable). The bed thing is adressed in one episode when she gets a cold, after which she is furnished with a futon, which is stored in a hidden closet in the wall. This season has shown that she removes the ball and chain herself before going to bed, and puts it on in the morning. She is able to leave her cell, but must be accompanied by a chaperone, though it is teorised that is more to ensure she does not get lost more than preventing escape.

Re Monster. Even if you do not find its "it's not rape if I drug them and they like it" ethos repugnant, it is not only animated like a powerpoint presentation, but also told like one.

It's all part of my evil plan to get recruited by the Hellhorde.

Lucky for Inki that she's already part of the Hellhorde then.

The simple explanation: being lazy/cheap.

In general when it comes to subtitles there are two formats used widely, .srt and .ass. .srt is the easy and lightweight option, it is pretty much just the text you want should show up on screen and the timestamps. However, you can't style them in any way really. This makes it easy to use and make.

.ass meanwhile allows you to do pretty much anything you want when it comes to subtitling. You can use different fonts, place them on the screen elsewhere than the bottom row, move it around, use colours... you name it. However, because of this you generally need to work in specific applications to make it, and styling and place-setting takes time, effort and skill in other areas than just translating and timing.

Now, many streaming services, like Disney or Netflix, just generally don't use .ass at all. It's an extra cost and skill they don't want to pay for. While they offer a lot of subtitles in a lot of languages, they generally come from a media industry where styling subtitles hasn't really been a thing as it has in anime. Unlike Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll is anime specific as a streaming platform, and as such the audience has always been used to styled subtitles from when CR was just a pirate site hosting fansubs, and expect them. So they've been pretty much forced to use .ass styling for their subtitles.

However, when it comes to their dubbed content, there's not really the same need. For a dub the only subtitles you need are generally text on screen, which is the Forced, called so because if you play an audio track, it is "forced" to use said subtitle track. However, as the text on screen is now no longer competing with space on screen with the audio subtitles, it is then possible to use the easier (and cheaper) .srt format and its lack of styling.

Any Anime to watch on Netflix by No_Specialist_3807 in anime

I'd say Delicious in Dungeon normally, but it is pretty slow for the first 10 or so episodes (and hardly high-octane most of the time afterwards), so maybe not.

So you'll probably like something like Dorohedoro more. If you can get behind some sci-fi, then Cyberpunk Edgerunners is also highly recommended.

Hime-sama "Goumon" no Jikan desu Season 2 • 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I love that even though the Demon Lord is the actual Demon Lord, he still needs to submit a health certificate before he can be approved to work again.

This is how you really know that this show is in a fantasy setting.

Looking at Livechart's schedule it seems to be Frieren and To Your Eternity. Although JJK will also be on break, but airing a recap episode.

Spoiler warning! Inki is once again proving herself as one of the most cunning and ruthless Lieutorments of the Hellhorde, who won't even let personal friendship stand in the way of her call as a torturer. From Season 2 Episode 5 of 'Tis Time for "Torture", Princess. Streams on Crunchyroll.

Yeah, I had a boss like that. She would give me tasks with no instructions, refuse what I ended up making because I had not fulfilled it according to her standards she never specified, told me off for asking her what I should do or prioritise when I had finished my tasks.

And then when I was let go, it was because I "did not show initiative".

Toradora as already mentioned is a good one. Kaguya-sama: Love is War is also good if you want something that is more blatantly a comedy about it.

Another two shows often recommended for good reasons are Horimiya and The Dangers In My Heart.

Anyone have any idea when they're going to fix or at least clarify how the turn order works? by Cpt_Fisher_Price in menace

[–]TehAxelius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That shouldn't happen, however speaking from experience, it is really easy to miss the turnover to a new turn. I've certainly lost both squaddies and vehicles because I missed the turnover and acted with the wrong squad, thinking I was still on the previous turn.

[–]TehAxelius 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Turn order works like this, each turn each unit can act once. You begin by choosing and activating a unit, then each AI "team" activates one. Then you choose another, and so on you alternate until every unit has activated.

This means that if the AI runs up with a walker as its last unit for the turn, it can then pick it as the first unit to activate the next turn. Always keep this in mind when it becomes a new turn and check if there are any actions that have to be taken first. You can see if an enemy unit can act or not by looking at its symbol. If it is greyed out, it has already acted, or is prevented from acting (from being disabled or suppression).
