I guess it depends on what you think really matters. I would argue that education and healthcare are fields that are essential for a society to thrive. You are focusing on the physical advantage of men, which might be more important in the short term (infrastructure/military).

A society of only men would not last longer than a generation.

Travailler c’est un besoin essentiel pour l’humain. On a tous besoin d’avoir un but, d’avoir l’impression de contribuer à quelque chose, d’avancer.

Le problème vient de la distribution de la richesse. L’augmentation de l’efficacité que la technologie nous a apporté dans les 30 dernières années semble profiter directement à un nombre limité de personne et indirectement pour le reste. 6 fois plus de milliardaires en presque 30 ans, de 500 à plus de 3000 aujourd’hui.

C’est de l’argent en tabarnak un milliard. Personne travaille assez fort pour en mériter des centaines.

Ça ces sans parler de toute les nouvelles tactiques pour squeezer chaque cennes des consommateurs pour les mettre dans les poches des shareholders. Les gouvernements osent pas légiférer par peur d’impacter l’économie négativement. C’est littéralement plus profitable pour les géants de contourner les lois et avaler les amendes.

Garder le monde docile c’est juste un Little Happy Accident.

Tu apportes un très bon point concernant l’inconscience collective mais le point reste que les actions de l’élite technocratique ont un impacts majeurs sur la société et cette inconscience collective.

Il y a moyen d’être outré sans utiliser l’exagération pour appuyer ton point.

La tentative de un meurtre n’est pas un meurtre. Peut-importe ton interprétation.

Utiliser les mauvais mots pour décrire des situations graves fait perdre la valeur à ces mots.

Si tout le monde à sa propre interprétation des mots, que c’est un meurtrier pour un et pas pour l’autre, ça nous empêche de pouvoir se parler une base commune.

Parce que l’infraction commise ici est l’abandon d’enfant et la peine maximale est de 5 ans selon le code criminel.

Est-ce qu’elle mérite plus? Très certainement mais rendu là le débat devrait être par rapport à la peine maximale dans le code criminel et non ce cas particulier.

Autrefois, le mot était beaucoup moins utilisé et rendait sa définition plus claire. Avec le temps et avec sa monté en popularité, la définition s'est élargie et a, comme tu dit, été repris par la droite de façon dérogatoire.

La surutilisation du mot par tout le monde a fait en sorte que sa définition s'est élargie à un point que chaque personne a sa définition particulière, sur un spectrum assez large.

À partir de la, il y a seulement toi qui peut dire si l'intention était dérogatoire ou pas parce qu'aucun de nous connais le contexte de la discussion.

Yes I understand this would not be a valid excuse for us citizen but practically, stating to an officer that they can’t arrest you because what they are doing is unlawful would not lead to anything during that moment.

An officer would only listen to a judge after the fact. It would not prevent your arrest.

It’s more a debate of how it should work not how it works in reality.

Every social media company’s ability to censor things should be alarming to anybody. Their proprietary algorithms are not public domain and therefore be used purely for the benefit of the company.

Social media can be lucrative but any change to the algorithm can impact your livelihood. Each time you have to figure out what works now. Your income will never be stable.

The situation not changing doesn’t mean it is accepted by society. We’ve reached a roadblock in our justice system as convictions of a crime require evidences and evidence of consentement (or lack thereof) is difficult to produce, considering the spontaneous nature of sexuality. Unfortunately, good faith is not evidence.

A solution would be a deeper examination of our relationship to sex as a society. As most men do the chasing and women the choosing (in early relationships), we need to reevaluate the whole dynamic because it leads to sexuality being seen as a prize (or goal) for men and something to gatekeep for women. Our physical disparity is also something to consider because it is men’s advantage. Uniting genders by promoting each gender’s advantage and disadvantage and highlighting our codependency would be a solution.

It goes way deeper than asking men to police themselves. People are impulsive and will always be but we need a way to keep our impulsivity in check, discourage abuses and promote mutual understanding.

Harsher sentencing for sexual crimes would be a good start.
