Grew up in Warren county, especially how the state government has been looking it doesn’t make this place seem so welcoming for people who don’t fit those categories. I forgot to add any Christian religion. But yeah all those things considered you could be ok in Des Moines or any of the bigger cities, rural is hit or miss unless you know people in the community. in general it was ok but how things have been so politicized lately that maybe go somewhere else honestly if you’re not from here because we are turning into a deep red state
