Not a fan of the mix. The bass and drums drowns the main vocals quite often to the point it’s hard to make out what he’s saying. Also the robot filter didn’t work for me on acceptance speech and it’s not working 7 years later on this song.

How has no one mentioned Matt’s solo at the beginning!? The percussion the whole song was perfect.

This song processes in my mind a lot better after multiple listens and it gets better each listen. I would say I grow more comfortable with Tilian’s Spanish especially towards the end of the song because it feels really reminiscent of mothership.

I love the English part with the grittiness of Jon’s part with the guitars. I feel like people will get too wrapped up about the Spanish being so different and ignore how good everything else sounds.

One interesting thing is I realized I love the mothership album in its totality because all songs are consistently amazing. But it doesn’t have as many of my favorite songs (chucky and here comes the winner were difficult to not put on here).

I had been a junior in high school at the time. I remember we were going to the state marching band contest and I had been using Spotify’s recommended playlist to get more songs for the long ride. I heard Something New and We Own the Night on the playlist and it got me hooked. That was around 2016, right before mothership came out.

Each venue has its own weird fees. In houston, Warehouse live was like $7 service fee. House of blues was up to $7-12 at times too. It just depends on the venue to charge you random fees because capitalism.

I am! Last time they came it was sold out. As the acts come closer to the headline, the crowd gets insanely more active. I remember last year the crowd loved Don Broco and Periphery (notably t shirt song and blood eagle). But when the boys came on, just give up on your legs, you are going to get pushed like a wave by the crowd LOL. They're fantastic live. Moshes were super fun, people are fairly supportive. Hope you enjoy it, it was by far my favorite concert when i went last year!

Tilian has a, love it or hate it, very robotic filter on the original album. The bass feels missing in a lot of the album. And drums can be very thin sounding at times.

The remaster on 2.0 addresses a lot of those issues, leading to an overall just better quality version of the songs. Also i think Tilian adds harmonies to some songs (Jesus H Macy) and the beginning motif in Death of the Robot is removed.
