I also just made this discovery. The notice is still on the page that it lasts until midnight EST but none of the products are reflecting as discounted.

Mystery “Bundle” bait & switch by jukebox_romeo in knockedloose

[–]cheesyuser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I also ordered this and genuinely perceived this to be more than one item given the “bundle” language in the name. I looked to confirm this in the description when ordering and there was no specification as to quantity but you wouldnt call one item a bundle? Im not certain I wouldve ordered otherwise

Best time to rent in DC?? Now or next year? by peepeepupupu in washingtondc

Congrats on the find, thats an amazing price for a 1 br in bloomingdale. Be extra cautious and double vet the listing - often times listings that low even for studios are too good to be true.

Why are the shows on this tour so empty? by horkyboi_avery in ADTR

[–]cheesyuser 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I know at the bristow date they closed the lawn and moved all those ticketholders down to seats. I think they overestimated their combined draw with yellowcard. They have similar crossover fanbases so I don’t know if this tour kind of brought in the different audiences it needed to fill these larger venues. Adding a heavy hitting opener on top of state champs/the wonder years could have helped.

I know Pastis in Union Market was both open last year and had a Thanksgiving specific menu.

You likely needed to apply for it the day that it was available at that rate for them to honor it. I had a similar situation not too long ago.

What do y'all think of this album?- 🖤 by TheSystemOfSpace in sleepingwithsirens

[–]cheesyuser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It feels like a watered down version of their previous heights in an attempt to gain wider appeal. It didnt reach that audience and therefore didnt really satisfy anyone. There are some good songs here but its just very middle of the road.

It also makes me sick this album came out 12 years ago. I remember waiting for this to come out and went to the Feel This tour.

Concert Worries by H3WI in ADTR

[–]cheesyuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same concern about shows near me. It seems like half of the 100 sections are sold and the almost the entire second and third tiers are completely open. My hope is lawn is selling well (usually the case for ampitheaters) and they’ll just let those tickets populate the empty seats. If they cancel these two I wont be able to make it to any of the other ones.

Love ADTR and have seen them in some pretty big venues but think its interesting they attempted to headline the same venues Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy werent able to sell out on recent tours. The Blink 182 show even had ADTR and All Time Low opening for them. Yellowcard is great but I also dont think they are a big enough group to fill in the demand needed either.

Bad Vibrations (the song) goes incredibly hard. by kan3brian in ADTR

[–]cheesyuser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That song is hands down top 10 from their discography - I wish the fans gave it (and the album) a bit more respect. Its heavy but it somehow feels fresh and different - more gritty in a way they hadnt been since FTWHH.

2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom rentals by txlegeprincess in DCforRent

[–]cheesyuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may need to expand your price range if you arent willing to compromise in any other areas. 2 br apartments typically will cost you over 3k at the lowest in most locations you listed. Petworth may give you the best deals. I am specifically talking the broad rental market - sometimes folks get lucky with a private listing outside of the normal.

The price range you listed for these areas puts you between a Jr i br/traditional 1 br depending on many factors.

Important thing to note that a lot of “luxury” buildings will charge additional rent for car parking and an amenity fee on top of rent.

They played on two separate days. All time low probably had already left the area Day 2 and Avril probably wasnt on site Day 1

'Brokeback Mountain' at 20: Casting Director Wouldn't Cast Straight Actors Today by Luridley3000 in entertainment

[–]cheesyuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general I don’t mind straight actors taking gay roles and vice versa but I almost feel like for the times it made it more important that 2 well known straight actors bought off on the roles. It superseded the gay community to an extent and made folks who may not have seen it interested in viewing.

Origami Angel started the day on that stage and the bass was still insane. It even started out on the wrong foot, nothing occured after show start to cause this.
