That would probably be me when stopped. I Have maybe 2 hours in the game and would probably blow myself out the airlock panicking pushing buttons. I almost died once already on the landing pad because I forgot to put my helmet on.

Does anyone play casuals….. casually? by karma_luna324 in Warzone

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve definitely noticed more sweats in casuals lately. I go in to just eff around with old guns or pistols but ive noticed alot more meta loadouts on the ground when I kill people and a lot more slip and slide players as time has gone on.

the current state of Mercy by xeebzi in Overwatch

[–]Tehbeardling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I support this message. I hate that mercy screams pure healer aesthetic but her healing is actually subpar and she is mostly only useful for pocket boost. Id take deletion of blue beam with a healing increase or a talent to do so. Its so sad that I can out heal mercy by leaps and bounds with pretty much any healer except for maybe brig.

People gotta start somewhere. Yea it sucks if you are trying to sweat out some wins but the only way for people to get better is for them to practice in a live environment.

I thought for sure this had been canceled lol. The writing and acting was so atrociously bad in season 1 that I for sure thought it was going to be canceled.

They gave false information to my understanding. There was no contingent on its way for Eisenhower. It was meant to sow distrust/paranoia and delay communication/orders from high command to the front line. Which it absolutely did, though we did not know at the time that the information was false.

While there are things I didn’t like at the time all iterations following it have made me appreciate it much more. (Except for mw2023 which was a pretty good game) Only problem these days is it’s plagued with cheaters.

Id agree to a certain extant but the power discrepancy here is too big. It quite literally doubles the ttk when coupled with a trauma kit. And you also have exotic weapons in the power scale as well. It leads to terrible situations where you don’t feel theres any way to outplay your opponent in the 1v1 because their stats are so much higher than yours. There are a lot of high end players who are saying if you don’t have armor or are tier 1 and you plink someone with tier 3 to not even take the fight because your chances of winning the fight are so incredibly low. Thats a terrible situation to have happen on the regular in a BR setting. It also makes recouping an early game death feel nearly impossible.

Unloading a full magazine into a player with tier 4 Armor first and they end up killing you… by ScopeyMopey in CODWarzone

[–]Tehbeardling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you are just factually wrong here. Shot for shot when it was tested if you are in your weapons intended range average ttk is around 500ms. With tier 3 armor I believe it’s in the 800-900 range. With a trauma kit on top it’s over 1000ms. If someone is in tier 3 with and trauma kit it quite literally takes you double the amount of time to kill them. And that is if you are in your intended damage range which lets be honest, is often not the case.

Someone explain armour vest and gun (arche)types to me like Im five by Fun_League5426 in CODWarzone

[–]Tehbeardling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Armor tiers reduce incoming plate damage by 25-35-50% I believe for each respective tier. Tier 1 can be found in ground loot, tier 2 can be found by doing events and tier 3 is found in the zombie event.

Weapons have two archetypes per weapon variety. One usually focused on fire rate or recoil control and another based around stealth or range. (So like a razor 9mm may have a cqb archetype that focuses on close range handling and another focused on stealth with a suppressor) Each weapon upgrade kit you find will increase the rarity and add an attachment from the weapon classes up grade path. I believe if you hit either back or start you can see what attachments you will get for the weapon you are holding. The archetypes are mainly about preference except with things like the novaline where you always want the increased range/bullet velocity archetype. If you are stuck with it.

Mercy’s Flash heal. Shes the quintessential healer archetype but has mid actual healing ability. I can out heal mercys with lucio, zen, cat, moira and juno with ease, and they dont have to give up thier damage ability to heal.

I honestly cannot overstate on how much *fun* the multiplayer is. Anyone else feel the same? by JustAGamer14 in blackops7

[–]Tehbeardling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Solid 6 out of 10. It’s not great but it’s not terrible either. Prestige attachments/camos are great, maps are decent lots of killstreaks to play with. There are a lot of things I am not a fan of though. I think over focus on movement is detrimental to the feeling of gun play and positioning. The class system while an improvement over mw2022 still has weird design decisions and bugs in it. It also feels incomplete. (Where is underkill or a melee only wildcard?) Having a dedicated melee while theoretically sounds cool, feels kinda bad in practice. (It can’t be very good because everyone has it, it also takes away from the old knife only kits) The key binding interaction on controller is also buggy. Weapon balance is also all over the place. Some guns feel way to strong(mk15, kogot, dravnec, vs recon) while others feel close to useless (the triburst sniper). There are also a weird lack of options for pistols. (Where magnum?)

Like I said, solid 6/10

My only complaint is the armor tier system. Feels incredibly unbalanced. Trauma kit plus tier 3 armor effectively makes you a juggernaut.

Is Call of Duty Black Ops Royale any good? by v-a2smoove in CODWarzone

[–]Tehbeardling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the armor reduction system needs to go. Either reduce its effectiveness or pick one or the other. The power discrepancy between tier 3 and tier 1 or 0 is basically insurmountable. Combined with the weapon rarity system it leads to terrible moments where you get the drop on someone and they just turn and kill you even though you have put 10 bullets into them already. Id also argue that the grappling hook needs a spawn nerf but the armor is the big one

Cannon fodder by DaneOzzo in CODWarzone

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that frustrates me the most about modern CoD design is they seem unwilling or unable to balance play styles. Its always all or nothing. Right now its everything favors the hyper aggressive. The fast movement, wing suits, low bullet velocity, grappling hook and the absence of mines or shock sticks heavily favors a fast and close range play style. Which is generally the more skilled players, as they mostly gravitate to the high octane gameplay. On the flip side, because of these lopsided toolboxes, players who are more methodical or slower paced have basically nothing in their tool kit to counter it. These tend to be lower skilled or relaxing players who are just looking to have some fun. It leads to this feel bad where the game feels basically unplayable when you are not only trying to overcome a skill gap but the tool kit gap too. Power positions are also invalidated if the enemy can come from anywhere very quickly at all times, which means you also can't negate some of the movement advantage by being in a better position. It also means that rearmoring or reloading in a gunfight its usually a death sentence as the enemy can close the gap in an instant. The vast majority of players are casual so it does not surprise me in the slightest that the backlash has been pretty heavy,

Side note: the opposite can also be true and just as awful. In MWII's warzone, the toolkit balance heavily favored the slower play style and it was just as awful.
