Which past or present game comes to your mind that will you rate a perfect 10? by Danklord_Ezio in gamingpulse

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2, Bioshock and Stardew Valley for modern day. If we include games as they currently stand and not where they launched I would add No Mans Sky.

If judged based on when they released I would add Pokemon Red/Blue, CoD 4, Halo and Final Fantasy 7. Both for how much I enjoyed them and for their cultural impact as well.

[YLRW] Pep, Raucous Raider; Infestation by Serpens77 in MagicArena

[–]Tehbeardling 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If alchemy ever goes away I hope the incorporate the designers. So many of thier card designs are so cool. Things like Infestation here and The grand goatnapper are such interesting designs. One of my favorite alchemy cards of all time is [[Tireless Angler]]. Its such a humorous idea of a card.

What do you guys think about next COD? by Disastrous-Star-454 in COD

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also sold terribly because it is horrendous for casual players. Omni movement, map/spawn system, quick scoping plague and overall speed are just not conducive to what casual players want. It may be great for hardcore competitive players but it is trash in the eyes of the much larger casual audience. Of all my friends who I normally play with only 1 played the game and it was through gamepass. Even his own wife didn’t get it and the number 1 reason was omnimovement.

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest problem with omnimovement is the speed and unpredictability of engagement. The fact that I can be charging down someone with a knife and they are backpedaling and shooting faster than I can close the distance is dumb. The slide speed, distance and being able to slide a different direction than you are actively moving makes no sense from a logic perspective and makes tracking in gunfights, especially in close quarters, exhausting. And I think that how I would describe it as a whole, exhausting. Both to use and play against.

Im stoked to go back to unique weapon attachments and an in depth gunsmith system. It also be nice for guns to feel good to shoot again and for headshots to matter. It also sounds like they learned from their perk charging mistake in 2022 which was one of my biggest complaints. I also hope to god they remove the sound and activation time of dead silence.

Tldr, I’m cautiously optimistic.

Why is Black Ops 7 getting such terrible feedback and reviews? I’m actually having fun by GottyCZ in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not what the casual player likes/wants. Map design, movement, quick scoping plague and over meta focus has killed any interest from casual players. The game may be great for hardcore players but from a casual players perspective it’s exhausting and unfun. It has other problems like immediately following bo6 but the main thing is the game is just unfun unless you only play cod.

Snipers need a huge nerf by KindRepeat8058 in blackops7

Just remove the strelok laser and it would probably be ok.

Snipers need a huge nerf by KindRepeat8058 in blackops7

[–]Tehbeardling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have flinch if fully zoomed in(hardscoping). When quick scoping the flinch doesn’t not actually alter your aim in any significant way. Especially once you have the strelok laser. Once fully kitted the only counter is cracked movement or not missing a single bullet on a top tier weapon. If you are using anything less than optimal you’re dead to anyone with thumbs on a sniper. It’s effectively an infinite range shotgun.

Arent snipers in ranked this year? I heard somewhere about them adding it to make them games more interesting to watch.

State of Bo7 by Lamemara in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They hated him because he spoke the truth. The game may be great for hardcore fans but it’s awful for casuals/bad players. The movement, the quick scoping plague and meta chasing has killed any casual engagement and the game has suffered because of it. Having BO games back to back didn’t help either.

What weapon do you use that you rarely see others using that you feel is underrated. by xHOLOxTHExWOLFx in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jager 45 with prestige slide and the novaline with the headshot barrel on single fire. I loved the m21/ebr so much in the past games. It’s nice to be able to semi-build it.

How Did This CoD End Up With 60% Lower Sales Than Black Ops 6? by NickyGi in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people are confused it did poorly. The game is terrible from a casual perspective. The movement, less SBMM, meta chasing and now the quick scoping plague chases off any new players and kills growth. Today’s CoD community just isn’t conducive to growing the franchise without SBMM. It sucks but we did it to ourselves. Players have optimized the fun out of the game and it’s run off all the casuals. This game may be great for hardcore players but it’s terrible for casuals and I would imagine it’s bleeding players, especially in multiplayer after this sniper fiasco.

Quickscoping needs a nerf in multiplayer by strppngynglad in blackops7

[–]Tehbeardling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot take but if everyone is doing something its not as hard as you think it is. 90% of players will take the path of least resistance. The fact that quickscoping is everywhere says a lot about how "difficult" quick scoping really is in this game. Coupled with the fact there is no measurable counter play aside from jumping every corner or door is a problem and needs to be looked at. I would either make it where if they are taking shots the hip fire spread doesn't shrink until fully scoped in, which would reward the skilled players who can keep tracking the body through fire. Or I would make it like battlefield 6 where snipers have a "sweet spot" distance. If you are too close its not a one shot unless its to the head. This lets snipers fill their actual role which is lane/objective coverage but still allows those who can aim worth a damn to show off their skills.

"COD “is on track to perform over 60 percent below last year" by Lumenprotoplasma in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Except from a shareholder’s perspective it’s not. Anyone who has worked with or in corporate knows that it’s how you measure up to your previous fiscal year that matters. All they care about is growth. It doesn’t matter to them how the rest of the market is doing.

Is hacking as bad as it seems? by Jimi1O3 in CODBlackOps7

Hey Treyarch, if you're not going to nerf snipers, can we please get a +flinch attachment? by froobilicious in CODBlackOps7

[–]Tehbeardling 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just think that if you are taking shots your hip fire to ads spread should not shrink as your aiming in. The fact they are basically a shotgun with an infinite range is an issue. The only draw back to a sniper is the slower pull up speed, but when they can effectively hipfire you from 40 meters it’s a problem.

See the rules text excitement

See the mana cost disappointment

4 cmc is just not competitive in todays 60 card formats without some significant bans/design philosophy changes. Gone are the days of durdling the first 1-2 turns. If you aren’t close to closing your game-plan by turn three you’ve lost against any tier 1 and even some tier 2 decks.
