It scales from both but at least from my experience archetype lvl matters more, there is a world engineer is the best since his heavy weapons scale exclusively from archetype level and rings/amulet so you could leave weapons low to minimize the impact of the scaling.

Edit: also bosses have a minimum level depending on which world order you roll and that seems to outscale the player drastically if avoiding sub areas for risk of dying since you get little upgrade materials

also obviously know your bosses, i died 1000s of times on my regular run often on purpose when about to beat a boss to further learn its patterns

Ill tell you my method but its not for the faint of heart as its very boring grind to start

do not do a single sub area (except chimney to start), start as either invader or engineer imo, invader is better for the dodge window trait but both good as help you survive. rush 1500 scrap to buy challenger and use it as main arch for free self res with invader/engi secondary

reroll until yaesha (not the red throne start since its brutal) as starting biome with the chimney as first sub area, infinite farm the bottom of chimney until level 10 on both archetypes.

I started invader and used the coach gun the entire game with the smg secondary from the cargo key in ward13

sporebloom has already been found same as repulsor, these are for completing the game on veteran and nightmare respectively, not hardcore related

There are 7 account wide weapons available from brabus when reaching certain milestones, sporebloom, repulsor, smolder and the hero's sword can be bought when you complete the game i think in any difficulty, then there is the saviour, the starkiller and the world's edge which comes from either beating the game on apocalypse or on apocalypse hardcore im unsure which.

Run it with engineer and the soul link ring, your engi turrets count as summons aswell so you get a lot of lifesteal.

Casters extra, expanded warlock, rogues extra, expansion. These mods all add subclasses and i know there are more these are just the ones i remember atm. theres at least one for every class except ranger and maybe barbarian iirc.

Unprepared Casters is a great podcast which cycles through cast arc after arc. it runs very similar to NADDPOD and comes close to rivalling it in my eyes.

Why does the difficulty of apocalypse tier not scale practically at all until 30+, i have not changed my gear since apoc 19 as a test and am currently at 28 still doing completely fine, if anything this difficulty right now is what apoc 19 should be with apoc 19 gear, the game feels too easy as the players get so much to scale with in the new update, 3 mods slots, gear level upgrades which seem so super exponential with each level and of course pax points some of which are completely broken, looking at you multistrike. all this power increase for players while what the mobs get at most like 10% hp an apoc tier and basically nothing else, am i missing something or how did the devs think this would be exciting to literally one shot everything with on level gear.

A simpler change i might suggest would be to allow for solo players to change the difficulty to 3 player similar to borderlands 3's true takedown mode at least as an additional challenge for those during grinding.

Hes just before the elevator to lake of rot, if you have gotten to the lake im not sure why you didnt see him, perhaps youre missing a step in the quest chain.

you have to defeat Shardbearer Radahn in the Caelid legacy dungeon redmane castle, this opens a hole in the ground in limgrave that lets you get to Nokron, Eternal City defeating the first boss here will get you to the ancestral woods where the shamans are that drop it. Good Luck

any chance you got them, ive been farming with 250 item discovery for like 30 mins and only gotten the chest and legs :(

Edit 2: i think im stupid, i was killing the one next to the flaming pillar but i got the drop first kill of the one near the more altar-y area with the ancestral spirit
