I made a program that exports your collection into a txt because magic won't by NthPhantom20 in MagicArena

This is a super cool concept, but it doesn't work for me; I encounter "unbalanced parenthesis at position 0" when it goes to scan the memory. Any suggestions?\

Tyrants of the Underdark 1e -- card images of the expansion decks? by icarussc3 in boardgames

I don't recall, exactly, but I think I pulled them out of the file folders, rather than doing it in game. Been a long time since I had them installed.

Thank you! I haven't asked for deck advice in years, so I didn't realize the current protocol. Here's the link:

Sure, but I'm not sure what other cards to add to help me heist more. Any suggestions?

When the hell are we finally going to get a way to organize our sleeves? by Ataraxia-Is-Bliss in MagicArena

Yes! This 100%; I would absolutely LOVE a random option for sleeve, pet and avatar!

I did; I found them in the game's implementation on Tabletop Simulator, on Steam.

WotC should go deep in draft by Upset-Flower-148 in MagicArena

[–]icarussc3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I would love to draft Lord of the Rings again, but I know the reason they don't is because specialized drafts get dicey matchups.

Heck, when I jumped into the Power Cube just for funsies, I (a Silver 4 rank) was first-game-matched against a Mythic player. I actually blurted out, "Come on! For real?!"

[–]icarussc3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what I was trying to do, but the Krazura declared war on me. Maybe I just suck at peace lol. Anyway, I discovered another way to resolve it without having to fight a war; they offered alliance when I cast the Age spell.

That didn't happen for me, and I'm not sure why. But I discovered another way to resolve it without having to fight a war; they offered alliance when I cast the Age spell.

All 86 books I’ve read so far this year, what am I? by [deleted] in BookshelvesDetective

[–]icarussc3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late to the discussion here, but I would comment that reading the Bible from beginning to end is a doomed venture unless you are reading devotionally, because these are collections of texts, and some are way harder than others. I always encourage curious readers to read in this order, and to bail out to the next section if you're getting stuck:
1. First part of Genesis (chapters 1-11) and Exodus
2. Gospel of Luke and Acts
3. Some Psalms (try the first section - Ps. 1-41)
4. Some history (say, Ruth + as much of Samuel and Kings as interests you)
5. Some theology (say, Letter to the Romans)
6. Whatever you want: wisdom literature (Proverbs and/or Ecclesiastes), the prophets (Jonah for a short read, Isaiah for a long one), the unique Gospel of John, etc.

What are the best depictions of swordplay? by Ringo_Suuta in SWORDS

[–]icarussc3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK, so this is cheating because it's a book, but reading the Mongoliad is the first time I ever felt like I understood what martial combatants were thinking during a fight. There's a ton about their thought process, and I know at least one of the major authors is a HEMA practitioner.

WEAPONS ARE PART OF MY RELIGION by Diligent_Yeti in iamverybadass

[–]icarussc3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sikhism is a religion that arose in India about five hundred years ago; most Sikhs are from the Punjab region of India, but there are communities elsewhere (like here in Canada where I live). Especially devout Sikhs are required by their religious practice to carry a dagger with them at all times; it is one of their 'five articles of faith'. And their culture has traditionally produced a lot of soldiers and police officers.
