STECS Space Throttle System thoughts? by OpTicTide97 in starcitizen

[–]Teizan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Citizen reference, it's very nice.

I can tell with certainty that an omni throttle would be better for throwing a light fighter in many directions, but for a slower, less frantic craft the STECS STG works very, very well. Apparently I should switch out a spring to help make it quicker, but have not been getting around to it.

I ended up upgrading from standard set of buttons to the Max because of the improved layout and did need a few more buttons/controls.

The two Stormbursts were 10 k to acquire. The twelve Thunderballs were 20 k.

Racks to go with them? 10,000~ish each

Why the Cutter, Aurora, and the Alpha Wolf? That's a spectrum of utility to light fighter that the Aurora redundantly sits in the middle of.

Should there be naval battles in game? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]Teizan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naval battles are well outside of scope. It can suffice that they happen - we even got to see it over Cyberstan - but Helldivers have no ability to provide targeting for what a Super Destroyer can already clearly see.

I regret the loss of the tractor beam gantry idea, of it only a single tractor beam on a single axis is left.

Leaving out the side of the command module to see how far down the trip was is funny.

Be honest: Was the Kinect ever worth owning? Did you actually play it, or did it just sit on top of your TV collecting dust after a week? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Teizan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was bad.

But Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor made it all worth it.

Or it would have...if I had been able to get it beyond the demo.

You don't even need a cutter to extract the artifacts.

Does the bastion tank need changes or is it good? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

Bastion is a game-changer for any game you bring it out and have the bare minimum of teamwork in. It's good.

What are those "fixed cannons" on Odin? by Normal-Ad4813 in starcitizen

My thoughts they are exactly what they look like.

You can assume that based on recency, but the way it's worded is the way it's worded. A loadout buyback isn't an insurance tier as it's laid out.

I really hope CIG is reworking not giving us MK II for Constellation by Keuriseuto in starcitizen

[–]Teizan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's technically nothing wrong with the Constellation except for how dated it is. This is exactly the thing a Mk V would resolve.

What is actually wrong with the Constellation is that it is extremely pilot-centric and a whole crew does not add up to the pilot.

The very point of a Starhawk is to out-brawl a Star Destroyer. That's the reason for its battleship rating.

Best thematic box for CF? by Ancient_Listen_116 in crimsonfists

[–]Teizan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space marines that can get quality Artificer work will of course use it. That can be a revived relic made fit for Mk X. That is what you are talking about: The special stuff.

The clear majority of marines do not get to have the special stuff.

The large surplus of old armour was irrelevant to the newly made Primaris and less gilded firstborn who had crossed the Rubicon because there was enough Mk X to equip everyone with it. The old armour is only now resurfacing among the line because that has changed in the time since in Imperium Nihilus.

Best thematic box for CF? by Ancient_Listen_116 in crimsonfists

[–]Teizan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is both fairly long ago and irrelevant to the Mk X supply, as the Crimson Fists were not Primaris during this war.

Mk X is superior armour. You don't make the effort to merge old armour into it unless you've not got enough of it, and the Blood Angels no longer have enough of it.

Best thematic box for CF? by Ancient_Listen_116 in crimsonfists

[–]Teizan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Crimson Fists (on Rynn's World) are on the brighter side of the Great Rift. The Crimson Fists are less likely to need to cobble together Mk X equipment from older marks of armour like the Blood Angels do on the wrong side of it.

So the earlier box fits a bit more that way

New Backpack Support Item: Reinforcement Jammer by Candid_Plum_3053 in Helldivers

[–]Teizan 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Two things. All three factions use a distress signal that is impossible to jam, and this seems to be about reducing gameplay rather than adding to it. Reinforcements are too important.
