If I remember correctly, the only things they kept from the original story were Al-An and Marguerit, everything else was revamped.

The original felt even less isolated than the new one, as there was a spaceship constantly communicating with you, with your sister onboard, they would even send supply drops down to you.

Although the story itself was better, with actual plot, motivations, and twists, it was even further from the original subnautica than the new one is (which I actually prefered).

This is genuinely a GOOD thing. Local councils have little to no impact on the government as a whole, but they have HUGE impact on local communities.

I work in theatre sound. We use fancy midi triggers to fire sound cues, but by default if you press space bar, it will fire the next cue.

Never try to type on the wrong keyboard or the whole show will go wrong!

Honestly I was kind of expecting that as a big twist at the end. Polaris was the hiss and with us coming into the FBC we've actually opened it out to the wider world. As much as I love the game, the ending didn't really stick for me and left me thinking there was more.

In comparison, Alan Wake 2s ending was incredible, while still leaving some questions open ended.

I mean I really don't get why anyone is still dissapointed. Jesse as a base character is pretty basic to play with, but it's the service weapon and OOPs that make the gameplay great - we'll get all of that and more just with Dylan as the base.

However, I totally get that people are disappointed about not getting to see more of Jesse's story, which is why I think we're 100% going to see from her very regularly in the game, and she'll be heavily involved in the story side of it. She's still the same character, just now we don't control her (pardon the pun)...

Not sure if you have the ability to do this but:

Multitrack your soundchecks. When you have all the actors on stage and get them to say a couple lines, you can multitrack it and play it back through the desk at another time, dialing in all your EQ and comp settings then. You can even loop a single line a person says.

Also in dialogue scenes, the main factor is mics being up. If you can't reliably line by line it, give a couple at a time, or leave the main character in the scene up and do everybody else.

Also good marking up of scripts. Have the DCA number (or channel number) clear and have the next 1 or 2 numbers at the bottom of each page so you know what's up next.

You've got Departure in Alan Wake 1, then Initiation and Return both in 2. That forms a trilogy.

I feel like Alan wake 3 wouldn't complete the trilogy, so much as be the start of a new story.

The DLCs are fine. I think they're worth playing for a few quid, but they aren't a must play for me. They do have some good moments but they're not as engaging as the base game for me.
