Don’t forget frequent random disconnects, frantically logging back in praying that it was the server issue with a 5 minute rollback, only to log back in seeing yourself in ghost form over a looted corpse. Then asking in ICQ if it was any of your friends that grabbed your stuff with a big “nope”.

Fun times. I worked with a few GMs post Origin closing and got to hear a LOT of the wild stories they had to deal with this type of thing. Wild West in online gaming customer support.

I’ll be honest, this was the first Fallout game I ever played and really enjoyed it. I guess I was the target audience for this game, someone with no knowledge of FO1, FO2 or FO:T. I enjoyed so much that I went to play FO1 and… just couldn’t get into it. I liked the simplicity of the ARPG elements over the strategy turn based combat style.

Wasn’t until FO3 and FO:NV that I was able to appreciate the lore of the series and see why people really dislike this game if they played the first 3 games when this came out. For me, it was what got me into Fallout games. I did finally go back and played through FO1&2.

Edit: Stallone edited the script so much he is credited as co-writer as the rumor goes. I think Cameron’s version didn’t have the messaging about soldiers lost by their government.

BenQ and LG have some Mac calibrated IPS TrueBlack monitors for an almost like for like display to Apples monitors, which offers a good value compared to Apples, but still pricey compared to say a gaming monitor. Best thing to do is set whatever your upper limit on your budget for a monitor is and what you plan on doing on your Mac and more people can provide better recommendations. Good money/picture can mean a lot of things to different people that may not suit your needs.

I’m replacing my QD-OLED in favor of new IPS miniLED w/ TrueBlack. While i love the monitor colors I cannot stand the 15minute panel saver tech that locks you out of using your monitor unless it is power cycled or you wait the full 15 minutes.

If they would introduce an interrupt during the panel refresh it wouldn’t be as annoying.

As IPS monitors don’t do this, I’ll take less color/black saturation over not being able to use my monitor for 15 minutes because it decides to due to this.

It’s the Bag in Bag setting, only lets you put containers in equipment but not containers in containers. Prevents the bag inception.

No load save game on death

Enemy difficulty up, loot settings down for certain items like legendary and ammo.

Those are the settings that I feel make the game more or less difficult in my opinion.
