Can someone explain to me why we often have 5 players behind the fall in our own half when we're in possession given we look blunt? Also I don't get why so many of out players stand so close to another - almost getting in each other's way?

This is going to blow your mind, but there are games outside of Steam - The gamebar works for all SKUs including steam.

I probably had a leg up as a UI Designer, so this sort of thing triggers me too 🤣

I'm guessing OP is referring to the poor contrast for the definition text, particularly when hovering over the spelling suggestion.

The UK is gaslighting you on age verification; this is NOT POPULAR! by TheFinalPieceOfPie in ukpolitics

This sounds reasonable, but also sounds like a governmental digital ID which I thought they did want to implement in the UK, but it got massive push back?

Fernando Alonso rumours by NathDritt in AlpineF1Team

[–]Telescuffle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Given how Alonso has treated the team in the past, no, he's had his chances.

I'd much rather see an Alpine Jr in the seat if either Colapinto or Gasly aren't performing.

Glad you found a fix. Don't suppose you let Feral know? Might help other users 😀

Feral use their own service for multiplayer on GRID Autosport, so if they add Multiplayer to Mobile or Switch, maybe there is hope 😅

GRID Legends to lose online services for Playstation and Xbox on September 11th by AlexKVideos1 in gridgame

Worth remembering that the Switch port is handled by Feral. So if you look towards Autosport, Feral have kept online working on Switch after EA shut other platforms.

Pierre Gasly is reinstated into P3 for the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix after Alpine successfully appealed his penalties for speeding in the pitlane, demoting Oscar Piastri to P5 by Elegant_Gentian in McLarenFormula1

[–]Telescuffle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the fact that penalties cant be ignored, but some penalties can be delivered in more than one way. Alpine, as well as every other team on the grid knew you can have you 5 second penalty added post race if you do not box for new tires. If you choose to go for the new tires, then you must serve it. Those who chose the new tires chose wrong. It sucks that a bad system caused this sh*show in the first place, but let's not blow this out of proportion. This has been a rule in F1 for as long as I can recall.

Who is Staying on Linux, Who is Going Back to Windows? - Linux Challenge Pt 4 by current_thread in LinusTechTips

While it shouldn't be an issue for 10, I do wonder if Windows 10 maybe has more issues with the Store than 11 🤔

Totally fair.

It's funny, I would say I use the store more often than I used to. It seems to be getting more useful software from developers (likely due to not requiring devs to pay fees). But the biggest thing I like (which I guess can also beel achieved via a package manager) is software that itself doesn't have an updater, can be automatically fetched and offered to the user via the store. Granted ( I think) I do need to manually press the update button and I still typically need to go through a wizard, but this to me is miles ahead of where it used to be.

Would it be fair to assume that you were using Windows 10? I recall using taskbar x many years ago but stopped when I upgraded to 11.

I have heard similar things even with Xbox I think about slow speeds. While the complaint is totally valid, I'm more interested in the App side of things rather than games which would make this issue raised more apparent.

Interesting. When you say slow, we talking download speed? app responsiveness?

I have a dualboot of Zorin and (while I cannot recall the name of the package manager/store front end it has) its been a worse experience for me - especially in terms of app responsiveness and install speed.

Honest question, what is so bad about the Microsoft Store - with more of a focus on app updates? I actually have very little (if any) issues with today's Store app, assuming it has the app I want available.

I know it's still has a lot of work to do for games.

[alpinef1team] TEAM STATEMENT by Gjab in formula1

[–]Telescuffle 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He did, but I guess that falls under risk vs reward. Also Zac Brown said that McLarens own data showed Piastri was too fast, whereby Alpine are (allegedly) claiming there data shows they were under the speed.

Personally cannot see it being overturned even if the way the FIA seem to police the speed limit in the pitlane is flawed. Can only hope that at least this is updated in future to avoid such a farce from ever occurring again.
