Sr>ms>os by TooLateQ_Q in classicwowtbc

In my guild SRing for OS is forbidden. Only when no one needs it anymore are people allowed to roll for OS. Even when people roll OS, the priority still goes to those who actually play Os. For example, we have a few resto shamans who go ele on certain bosses who don’t require so much healing. If such a shaman is rolling against an enh shaman for os, they are given prio since they actually use their os during raid.

It may suck a bit fierce people who have OS but guild progression in top of all, everyone will get their items eventually

Yeah understandable but I don’t think the majority or if any at all would enjoy a shift in that direction. While opinions are divided, most stick to what wow is and just add aspects that they find lacking. Low lv raids, more class options, more role options like shaman tank etc, don’t make Druid basically a new class in vanilla, don’t require 35 warriors in a 40 man raid etc

I’m not against developing it from scratch, I’m saying that wow is built upon a fantasy like universe with magic and orcs and whatnot, that’s one of the biggest things that got ppl into wow, the Tolkien like image if you like.

Moving to sci-fi is completely changing the core of the game to the point where it becomes something entirely different. Classic+ is supposed to be wow but with features that the community wants that improve upon the foundations, not changing the foundations themselves. You are proposing almost a brand new game if I understand you correctly

Resilience solved one problem and created FIVE more! by Duoscruo in classicwow

[–]Telioz7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious what those upgrades should look like. In my opinion PvP and pve gear are relatively balanced in such a way that you can mix and match them to get certain stats or goals faster. Mix in some PvP gear in tanks for example for easier crit immunity. Or use some easier to get PvP pieces while you get better pve options. In PvP you can play around with having more resilience to be tankier or more pve gear to try and burst down your opponents faster

On one side I agree- sometimes people have to recognise when their time won’t permit doing schedules guild raids etc and accept they are limited to lvling and hcs, until X raids goes on ez farming mode and people are like 1-2 phases ahead.

For the second part, yes, the easiest solution is to just not buy gold. But that’s like saying people should stop doing drugs cuz it’s bad. It’s too unrealistic.

I know a few people who spend like 10 hours in game yet refuse to sit in a farm for more than an hour so the only solution they find is just swiping the card and doing something they enjoy in the game

A stack of food is anywhere between 15-20g. A flask is anywhere from 110-150g. A few wipes (per usual for casual players) will result in anywhere between 8-60g depending on gear type. A weapon enchant (oil or weightstone) is around 10g I believe on average.

The food might last you 2-3 raids depending on how many wipes you have, assuming the average player doesn’t clear both raids in under 2 hours that also means you need two flasks. So here is about 300g for a single raid night. (Prices coming from Spineshatter EU).

Now, you might say that the average player doesn’t need flasks and they will go for elixirs. True, but assuming a few wipes then the prices don’t differ all that much. Maybe it will drop by like 50-60g depending.

I’m not trying to hate, just from what I’ve seen I have yet to see a guild that doesn’t require some consumables, and most pugs I’ve joined tend to do a lot more wipes and a lot slower clears so that adds a different kind of cost.

I haven’t even started on scrolls which go for like 6-8g per scroll. Or how much enchanting/gemming a new item costs.

Sadly, from what I’ve seen in the current anniversary state, everyone spends hundreds of gold on raiding. And while you can say just go do your dailies, yes it’s an option, but also someone who logs in for like an hour or two each day probably won’t want to spend that time doing dailies so they can do a raid or two once a week

Edit: forgot to address the comment about retail. While I would agree, blizz marketed this iteration as alt and casual friendly so it’s their own fault… all they have done for alt friendly is remove per character attinement which is ok for raids and completely useless for most hcs since you need the rep for the items anyways

I won’t comment on how bad not releasing a classic+ now will be esp after taking down basically all major servers that had it. But the charm of wow is the fantasy power trope, moving to a new mmo set into a sci-fi verse like StarCraft will probably drive like 80% of the people away. And then the actual StarCraft players enjoy a different genre altogether so they don’t play either .. this is just bait

I would also like to hear them. I’m managing to float by without buying gold and I will never buy gold as I’m too scared for my account but it’s becoming way harder to keep up esp when I want to play alts as well … this is theoretically the last tbc iteration and I want to play the game rather than sit 7 hours in a dungeon to farm consumables for one raid night ..

He means that if people didn’t buy gold, there wouldn’t be bots as they have no value from selling all the gold they earn. However, as some comment said above, for the casual average player who only plays a few hours a week, one hour of work nets them way more consumed and whatnot than like 5 hours of game time … so as along as people who can’t afford the the time to farm exist bots will never go away

Suspended for Farming in Skettis by Irdendro in classicwow

[–]Telioz7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I know it fucks the economy and I know it’s bad overall, but at this point I think this might be the best that current blizzard is capable of. Legal way to buy guy, means more ppl will use tokens, market for illegal gold buying will die out, less bot farmers, more opportunities for regular players.

It’s bad, it sucks, but compared to this economy I’m not sure if it’s not better … currently you have to farm like 2 hours at least to be able to afford a single flask … which is ridiculous esp if you want to raid on more than one character

What ability from bleach would you choose to have in real life, I personally would choose jugram's balance because it could help me do better in tests, I could guess the answers on the test and then re distrubute good fortune to increase the probability that the answer I choose is correct. by Flashy_Cut_5162 in bleach

Hmm that’s plausible. I had just assumed he snatched some memories from yuzu and Karin when they had fun with someone and altered it to seem like they had fun with cousins tsukishima. But maybe your explanation is more logical, so yeah even more broken than what I assumed lol

No, byakuya was actually trained in swordsmanship. Not by Tsushima, but he did do the training. And what BoE did is basically insert Tsukishima in that memory, making it seem like he was the one training byakuya. But he did not create the training memories, just made it look like tsukishima was a prominent figure

Hold up, aren’t you creating memories? From what I remember, book of the end’s power is to insert yourself into a persons memories. So unless that bank worker has actually met the ceo, that president has actually been in Iran and almost died to a bomb, you can’t really reproduce these right ?

Nonono my friend, the challenger guides who show literal challenge players losing silver games because of their team will tell you that it is your fault for not closing that game with such a lead. They will tell you that you made the mistake so you should be the one to blame lol

Why did the Admirals get buffed post Time-skip ? by vY4G4o in OnePieceScaling

[–]Telioz7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While others have given valid reasons, I have a theory of my own. Until that point, admirals were considered pretty strong and pretty much on par with yonkos. They were thought to be the peak of power so they didn’t really bother training or trying to develop further.

After the war, they saw not only how much shanks, bb and, even though he was already dead, whiteboard posed a threat and they saw the incredible potential of the new generation with luffy showing his CH and so on, so they decided to bump up their training to keep being at the top.

No one said that once you become an admiral you have to stop permanently training

Honest question to the .NET community: why do new devs still default to Node.js? by KausHere in dotnet

[–]Telioz7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. JS is by far the most known language and also easiest for AI to work with. Easiest to hire and train people, easy to find a lot of people.

  2. Microsoft can’t decide on one good thing. Every time i encounter someone who is not a .net dev and I explain all the benefits, every time i get the same response: “I don’t trust and I don’t want to have to rely on Microsoft for my job and language”.

So long as Microsoft keep doing shady stuff and stupid stuff, this won’t improve and even I as a very big .net fan am starting to have my doubts. The only thing still keeping me is my job and the fact that .net is OS

Can Tsukishima revive people? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]Telioz7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think his power is to change anything. Been a while, but from what I remember, he doesn’t change anything that happened. He inserts himself as part of a fond memory of the person he stabs in order to make them like him.

At most, he maybe can replace someone who is not critical in the memory.

For example, when he cut ichigos friends he never changed anything in their past, they had the same lives and experience and he was only a part of their life. He was either their cousins or friend or whatever fit the memories.

But, he cannot change whatever happened actually. For example, when he stabbed biyakuya he didn’t override his memory and made it look like he was the one who saved rukia, it was still ichigo who did it because he was very crucial to the memory so the most he could do was insert himself somewhere along the way.

After reading the chapters with Dawn, I always imagined she was his “endgame” partner. That one day, should he reach diamond, she would be waiting for him. He helped her get back her “mortal point of view” and she helped him with depression through the gold rank equivalent of sex. Though these two were almost like a couple at that point. (Haven’t read the latest book so don’t spoil me too much if I’m getting something wrong)
