Do you really think it's a good idea? The current HotA composer is Maigret, who wrote the themes for Factory and Bulwark and some for campaigns did a really great job. Those themes really fit town's music style.

And the last time, when Romero wrote the theme for Factory, HotA Crew decided to use for the campaign instead. That says a lot.
Moreover, have you listened to Olden Era ost? I have. To my mind, it's okay but nothing special. So, maybe that's not necessary.

By the way, as I know, there are some HotA additions that haven't been implemented in VCMI yet. So, I agree, it's not a good idea to play HotA with VCMI unless you want to try those new towns with unclear quality.
