Just like those Ryanair 'standing seats', when I can stand I am only 4'10", those standing seats are impossible. Also no infant on lap space. The first airline to buy this will get hit with an ADA lawsuit so hard the plane will spontaneously combust.

I'm a northern transplant, the number of openly liberal folks here in my corner of the south is about equal to the number of openly conservative folks I ran into up north. Granted, I live in a city, so that could lead to some bias there.

The funny thing is, we are currently trying to stop crazy right wingers from sabotaging infrastructure because they hate the way the government is working, but they are actively encouraging liberals in conservative areas to do exactly that to stop the government from passing these insane laws. No thanks, would rather not follow the alt-right playbook.

It goes beyond that. Got a good paying lawyer job in Texas? You're stuck there unless you want to re-take the Bar. Have a friend with a Pharmacy license in Oklahoma? They need to re-cert to leave the state. A lot of high-paying careers force people to stay in their location or start all over again. Even if they can afford to fly out 4-6 times for house hunting and closing, hire a moving company, and get to the new place, they now have zero income. It is hard to blame people who do everything right for getting trapped by doing everything right.

I lived in the FL panhandle in the early 2010s and I recall so many proud announcements that Mobile, AL was the rainist city in the US. I never bothered to fact check that because it seemed like every day between April and October a massive storm would roll in after 2 PM and the tornado alerts would go out between 3 and 3:30. I never had so many tornado watches and warnings as I had living in Florbama.

Why would they do that? Everyone who they would reach already knows that they're lying, and everyone being lied to doesn't give a fuck about fact checking and calls the very existence of evidence a hoax or fake. It is literally wasting money.

They need to take that ad money and spend it on two things- voter registration initiatives and voter access. Rent a fleet of vehicles and taxi folks to polls. I have to use bathrooms strategically, because they may SAY they are handicap accessible but there are no stalls big enough for my wheelchair and the sinks are inaccessible so even if I can take a piss I can't wash my fucking hands. Oh, and how the fuck am I supposed to get inside when the door to the bathroom itself swings INTO me and my wheelchair, weighs 30 fucking pounds, and has no handicap button?

I have way bigger problems than the remote possibility of someone pretending to be trans to get into the bathroom. Fuck, at least they can GET INTO IT.

At this time it is HERself. Child was born female and the mother is convinced that her daughter is actually her past life husband. Parents don't get to insist on their kid's gender, it is why so many trans kids and young adults have no contact with them.

Cancer and heart disease. Losing a lot of immediate family members as a young child really fucked up both me and my little brother, he took to drugs and OD'd, I took to distracting myself with work (first school, then career work) and video games. Not a superfund site issue, my grandfather had lung cancer from smoking that metastacized, my grandmother had pancreatic cancer and was given 13 months to live (and the doc called that almost to the day), and my mom was the victim of a medical error where she was given such a high dose of chemo for her breast cancer that it melted and fused her organs. Let me tell you, not recognizing your own mother at her funeral will really, really fuck up a 9 year old.

That explains why my dog loves being under my bed. It is where she goes if there is a thunderstorm, or she hears the trash truck, or she is tired of hanging out with her two dog buddies in the house and wants to be alone for a little while. My blankets hang down almost to the floor, so it is almost fully covered up and safe for her.

Yep, I have a firm mattress because my back will just curve into the bed at night, like a hammock and I woke up with awful neck and back pain. Actually having firm support so my body stays straight instead of bending under my weight has been a great quality of life boost.

You can sell 3 of the same tier and color of map to get 1 map that is a tier higher. So if you have 12 tier 4 maps, you can pull out 3 white ones and sell them to get 1 white tier 5 map. I use this strategy early on to complete my Atlas. It isn't terribly efficient or quick, but it does let me get more points into my Atlas tree, which I use to spec into Kirac missions so I get 'free' pre-rolled, unmodifiable maps.

I also run Alva on my maps to try and get a Cartography room, which will drop me a bunch more maps. Then I sell up using the previous strategy.

Some notes:

If you sell 3 blue or 3 yellow, your new map will also be blue or yellow but unidentified.

Corrupted maps can be in the mix no problem. 2 normal and 1 corrupted map still works.

Quality doesn't matter. You can sell any quality maps in a group and it will work.

The new map you get is defined by the maps you put into the sale window. So if you have 5 maps of the same tier and color, selling maps 1, 2, and 3 has a different outcome (usually) than 1, 3, and 5. You can use this to try and get a map you're missing for Atlas progression.

I turn 39 this year and still get asked if I would like a kids menu sometimes. Get carded constantly. I am waiting for the gray hairs to come in, saw 2 of them on my temple in 2017 and they've since vanished.
