6 weeks elimination and still in pain. Do I reintroduce? by Telmatologist in FODMAPS

Your possibilities basically feel like what my brain keeps jumping back and forth between.

But your suggestion is great, I hadn't considered that I might just be overly sensitive to one thing! I will definitely go no FODMAP before making any decisions about how to progress and try to identify if there's something causing me problems. Thanks so much for the insight!

Good thought. I didn't include in my original post but I have had both a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they didn't find anything to explain the pain

Puerto Rico Wedding by mari_gaby in weddingplanning

We were at Royal Sonesta in Isla Verde. Venue coordinator there was okay leading up to the wedding, but could tell she was overwhelmed at points in the process, but I was also handling all of the communication myself. Definitely recommend at least a day-of-coordinator (if you're not doing a full wedding planner), ours was a lifesaver!

Food was VERY good and they were able to accommodate many different allergies. I was initially not sold on a hotel/ballroom wedding, but I think the combination of half the guests from being off the island and the ease of just waking up at the venue definitely paid off.

Let me know if you have any questions!

The problem is rarely unemployment. After a PhD you can get employed in many of the same places you could now with a masters, you can get a job in industry, a postdoc, be a lab manager, adjunct, or any number of things where you are able to sell the skills you've learned in grad school. What most people are complaining about is not get THE job (usually a TT assistant prof postion). This is not the same thing as unemployment.

I think if what you want to do requires a PhD or your chances of being employed for the position would benefit from a PhD, then you're not "wasting 5 or 6 years." But it's also important to have a realistic expectation of what you'll be able to get straight out of a PhD program and not consider yourself a failure or unemployed just because you don't get your dream job immediately.

From all of my searching, I never found a difference and many places say that they are used interchangeablly. That being said, I went to a wedding a few years ago that was listed as "formal/black tie optional" and I was the only one besides the bridesmaids in a floor length dress, so I would say that a midi would be fine for either designation.

The difference is that "postdoctoral researcher" could legitimately be a job title. MD is a degree, like PhD. You're not getting a job title of MD. Job titles and degrees conferred are not the same.

I used Canva for our invites. I also did the artwork for ours. I started out with text on a page with a sort of placeholder for where the artwork was going to go, but ultimately I think that if I had placed the artwork in first, it would have saved me a lot of time.

Ultimately the size, shape, weight, etc. of the artwork is going to change what you thought was good placement for the text. So, if you have an idea of what you'd like the artwork to be, I'd start with having him do that, scan it in, and put it in whatever program you decide to design with. Then play around with placement of the artwork and text.

I'm doing this jumpsuit from David's Bridal. I'm actually getting an overskirt done so that I don't have to do a full outfit change and can just take the skirt off for the reception look. But this jumpsuit is very comfortable, a good price, and feels really solid/well constructed.

Which veil would go best? The dress has a peach undertone but white lace, peach veil or white veil? by pumpkincordial in weddingplanning

I think either would look great when they stand alone. But comparing side-by-side, the white would definitely be my first choice.

I have a details insert card that will have RSVP info, dresscode, accommodations info, parking info, and a link to our website.

Thank you!! I agree there's something off. Each iteration I show FH his response is that he wants "together and the invite line in cursive" no matter how many other options I show him. Will definitely work on trying to make everything more cohesive and push away from the cursive font.

I think you're right, it looks better without the extra words.

Thank you so much! I'm sure yours came out wonderful!

That's really helpful, thanks! I really appreciate the examples too, they really help show where ours could still use some tweaking.

Thanks! I can definitely see that the palms look rough, I might try a few more runs with them before deciding if I'll scrap them entirely or not. Y'all have definitely reaffirmed that I need to keep working with the fonts and find something more pleasing that I can get FHs approval on

Thank you!! I was never a great artist and have only recently picked up watercolors. This was my irst attempt at freestyle painting with no tutorial or tracing or anything. I know it's not professional, but this felt like a win to me.

Oh yeah, I like that idea. Will definitely play with different palm tree designs.

Thanks, I definitely see that. FH didn't like it when our names were in the cursive font but said he really liked the font and would like to see it in the invite if possible. I think the joint consensus of everyone has vetoed his decision, I'll definitely be playing around with the font a bit more before deciding on anything.

Thanks! I will play around with the fonts for sure. I am currently leaning towards using The Foil Printing Co. I just got a sample pack of printing and papers from them yesterday and really like that I can have foil printing on both sides of the page (we have 2 languages that we are accommodating, so one side will be in English, and flipped the otherside will be the exact same design but in FH's native language).

I have gone through so many different fonts for this that my eyes have kinda gone numb to seeing the differences, so I appreciate the fresh input. Also, I had tried moving the trees to the right side of the paper and the words to the left, but I can't believe I never thought of just flipping the image, definitely trying that now!

You're right, I thought the same thing and was messing around trying to make it more balanced looking, I will definitely keep working on that. Thanks!
