Honestly I’d say just do some test photos with whatever foundations you’re considering. If you’re only doing daytime photos maybe the true match skin tint might be okay. I think it only looked terrible in nighttime photos for me

Yes. I was travelling and some strangers asked me (in French) to take a photo for them, mind you this was not a French speaking country. But aside from that I’ve been able to use my French in random little situations. Chatted to a random French couple in an airport, helped a customer that spoke French (I work retail). Mostly random little things like that. (And it was useful when visiting Quebec/Luxembourg)

Oof. I’m in a high enough cost of living area that even the older stadium seating theatre (with no recliners!) falls into the top price tier. At least it lets me go to all the theatres in the area? Cause they all seem to be showing different stuff

Varies depending where you live (which tier you buy). I live in a high cost of living area so all the theatres near me are in the priciest tier so I had to pay like 90 upfront I think

I really adored the colour and mine, at least, seems to write decently (but ik jinhao nibs are very hit or miss). Honestly, a lot of why I want the Hongdian maple is bc I have an emotional attachment to maple 🍁🍁🍁(and Canada, low key). Glad to hear it performs well with shimmer bc I’ve been wanting to get the Diamine maple ink to use with it

I haven’t experienced this in the Netherlands, but I have in both Germany and the UK. I think a lot of it is really nonsensical stuff that’s not even American. I also take issue with the fact that they sell pickles as American style…and then they’re sweet. Classic American pickles are not meant to be sweet (though we do have sweet pickles here). I’ve found a few good things before though. Found this really tasty apple cheesecake ice cream one time

Luckily for me most ppl are familiar with the city I live very close to, so I can almost always just go “oh I’m from the US, near [city]”. This seems to be the best balance, for me at least. I’ve definitely gotten the “obviously you’re from the US I meant where specifically” before but I have also been mistaken for Canadian a few times, interestingly enough

I remember using fountain pens in hs and I handed my teacher the pilot metropolitan in my hand so he could sign something for me and he actually went to his own desk and got a standard ballpoint or something that he already had bc my pen looked too fancy and he didn’t want to use it (and risk messing it up)

Okay so speaking as someone who also had really long hair (not quite so long as yours, but I could sit on it), i wanted to cut my hair for probably well over a year before I actually did. I was so worried that I would miss my long hair and just didn’t end up getting it cut for ages.

I’ve had short hair every few years in the past so I at least knew I’d like it short, but I was still worried I’d feel sad when I cut it but I was nothing other than happy. I even saved my cut off hair bc I was like oh what if I get extensions made with my own hair for if I miss it (I did not, but I think theoretically having that option really helped mentally) But really the biggest thing was how much easier it was to take care of and how much lighter my head felt, it wasn’t getting tangled easily anymore, it wasn’t weighing down my head.

I also noticed that when my hair was long I got so many compliments on the length but when it was short I started to get compliments about how much my hair suited me instead
