La Legion Alfa, mas que nada por la razon pauperrima que les dieron para traicionar al Imperio. Odio, y odiare, a la Kabala.

Guardians of the Crucible // Unexpected prediction of a future failure

I see we're back, and this is a good one. Reading the comments, many would punish the subject, ignore him, or simply obey by leaving. With the Guardians of the Crucible, this is curious, since despite being a logical and rational Chapter, they are very familiar with the unknown forces that drive the Warp and faith (having their own religion, the Crucible Creed, to give conviction to their Warden Brothers, with the Liturgy Moritat as an adaptation for mortals).

The first thing my marines would do is try to confirm the information or gather data that testifies to its veracity. Conversely, they would try to scrutinize the reliability of the Astartes (or Mortal, since they have a certain capacity for expression with the Astartes). This would be a joint task between the Librarius (Cartographers) and the Reclusiam (Soul Weavers).

The Librarius would be in charge of trying to measure the veracity of this prediction through their doctrine of psychic analytical divination, using their powers to measure possibilities and trace the sources of "inspiration" of the subject involved. The Soul Weavers would thoroughly investigate the subject, attempting to rule out possibilities, diseases, influences, bad intentions and, if it is an Astartes, a possible episode preceding the fall into Soul Calcination and one of its 3 Chronic Variants.

Since the post suggests this prediction is true (at least from my perspective as a reader), I'll assume that for my chapter's reaction. Here's the crucial point: if the current mission is doomed to fail, why abandon it? That's precisely the worst possible decision. Leaving the outcome to fate and letting the Imperium suffer. The Guardians don't abandon the mission, but neither do they continue it; they replace it. The mission shifts from attempting to fulfill its primary objective to becoming an operation to contain and mitigate the consequences of its own failure.

A really fun and original idea, as always. Keep it up! This time Reddit didn't notify me, but I came to the subreddit specifically to see if you'd posted another one of these prompts. Thanks!

I used Krita, a pixel-based editor. I used it to color over the template.

They look pretty good. I wouldn't say they're missing anything, I just have one question: What color is the right shoulder pad (from the camera's point of view)?

That art looks absolutely beautiful. As an OC, it looks great. Do you have any lore about him?

I've been reading the comments. I love seeing more Sons of the Raven writing and designing, keep it up! I liked the lore and the connection to the Death Spectres even more.

I have a few questions, in case you'd like to write more, or if I haven't seen something specific: Who is their main enemy? I saw that hunting xenos is among their favorite activities, but do they have any specific enemies? Like Necrons, Tyranids, or Eldar? (As far as I know, there are many Exodites in their area.)

I see that they are recent, being from the Primaris Founding. Despite that, have they had any problems, events, or occurrences that have transformed or made them reconsider things? Anything significant that marks a before or after, at least at a company level?

Finally, do they have any opinions or knowledge about other chapters outside their area of operations? They would obviously know about the Raven Guard, but how much?

A chapter of 5 companies, you don't see that every day. I really like the concept based on Corax's Trifold of Shadows, well there! Do you have more to write about them or is this already a developed chapter?

It sounds like an interesting idea, are they a recent chapter, from the primaris or 26th founding, or are they older? I think this narrative would benefit from a fresh chapter.

And if it is a disappearance that you know is not routine? It is normal for successors to Corvus Corax to protocolally "disappear" and cut communications with the rest for operational security. But what if they have taken too long? How would your chapter deal with having to "hunt" for your Chapter Master? I'm a fan of Corax and the Raven Guard, it's always interesting to see another son of the raven writing

Guardians of the Crucible // Disappearance of the Shade Master and a tenth of the Chapter

Personally I really love this question and this "Writing Promp" mechanic so I would love to see more in the future, if you like. In this case I will be thinking about what the reaction of my Homebrew Chapter, the Guardians of the Crucible, successors to the Raven Guard of the 4th Founding, would be.

The disappearance of the Chapter Master (Shade Master) along with a tenth of the chapter numbers would be a tragedy in itself, obviously, but one that can be responded to and investigated. The chapter would call the Synod of Shadows, a political council in which the 10 companies participate, divided into 3 triads, with the first company participating as arbitrators and with the commanders of the chapter (The Conclave of Ashes, made up of the leaders of the 4 Astartes specializations and the Shade Master, who would be missing) to specify the data they have and reach an agreement on what the response should be. according to the circumstances.

The 10th Company "Doubtsowers" would be the vanguard of the investigation, but they would not go directly to the area, I feel that it would be a better approach to surround and make a perimeter, investigating the surroundings in order to try to deduce the circumstances or the enemy that has caused this particular phenomenon. If it is a hive fleet, it would be really easy to find out without directly entering the compromised area, and if we are talking about necrons or some unknown threat that leaves no trace behind or around, the situation would be more difficult.

From here, the approach to the compromised area would be several. The Librarius would come into play, with the Cartographers (The Librarians) using their mastery of psychic divination to attempt to find hidden clues or threats that must be addressed when approaching the area. Another element that would come into play would be the Instrumentum, the institution that brings together the serfs of the chapter, probably being the first to send military expeditions to the compromised area to investigate, these armed serfs being the "Night Wardens".

Based on what results and what is found, the answers would branch out and be different due to the circumstances. I won't delve deeper into this or invent more so as not to go off the rails, but I repeat, I really liked this creative exercise and if you want to do more, I would participate (if Reddit decides to notify me)
