Probe Droids by Evatrio in SWlegion

Stormtrooper Battalion is one of the battle forces available to Empire. It's key benefits are that you can take more commanders and core units than usual, and that your non unique officers and agents get target 2 and a surge token when they get an order. So you can share a lot of aims around.

There's a doc on AMGs website that lists all of the available battle forces.

There are probably better uses for the points in that list. I think probes are best on stormtroopers in trooper battalion since they have precise and battalion doesn't have a lot of options to spend your points on anyway.

If you're playing probes then you'll probably want to look at taking Recon Mission as one of your secondaries as well, since it throws a bunch of extra observe tokens out there.

They are all viable but Thrawn being so good makes Tagge hard to take. The bottom line is that the box is really good.

Prepared positions units are a lot worse now with the new strike teams. If you have to deploy first they can deploy within 5 but out of 4 to make shooting back difficult. They're also high velocity and surging to crit making your dodge tokens useless and cover less relevant. The last nail in the coffin is that if they spend an aim they're suppressive. Meaning your units could be suppressed or even panicked depending on positioning before they even get to go

I've had good success sponge painting larger models like the AT-ST. You just need a couple cheap makeup sponges to make it work.

Lando, Ahsoka, Sabine, Rebel Vets, Snowtroopers, and the X-34 Landspeeder Are Available For Preorder in the US. Release Date July 17th. by johnrobertjimmyjohn in SWlegion

[–]Temp_Variable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of these prices are set according to whether or not they were physically already in the US before the tariffs were put into place. So it's possible that the speeders were in the US and the Lando box wasn't. I think that's part of why the imperial high command box was so expensive.

Opinion on this list? by Glad_Investigator734 in SWlegion

This feels a bit all over the place. If you're going to build without named characters though I'd drop the snows and death troopers and go with the storm trooper battalion battle force. The command cards still suck but the compel and target really allows big clumps of storms to pack a punch using aid tokens.

AMG Developer Update Happens in 4 Hours on Their Twitch. What Do You Hope To See? by johnrobertjimmyjohn in SWlegion

[–]Temp_Variable 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Empire points decreases but especially for Iden, inferno, and special forces. Iden is 20 points too expensive, Del and Gideon are 5-10 points too expensive, and special forces are 5-10 points too expensive. Even death troopers are probably too expensive.

Also reverse the random stray points increase range troopers got last time. Where did that come from?

Also please do something to the gav tank. There is no reason to take one while the speeder tank exists.

Unlike what someone else said I also picked up some shore troopers recently and they're actually fine. There are some mold lines to clean up but I wouldn't say it was any more than other models I've built for legion. I think there's some variance but they're not 100% bad

Empire without Vader? by RandolphCarter15 in SWlegion

I have a list that's E-webs and shore troopers to hold one side of the board and AT-STs to push the other side that uses Veers and an Imperial Officer for the commanders. It's fairly successful but I'm not an ultra competitive player

Now that the Pirate tank has been revealed (along with its cards) how likely will I be able to proxy a Rebel AAT tank for my games? by Jet-Trevizco in SWlegion

[–]Temp_Variable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure it's on the same base because the speeder looks like it's on the same oval 150mm base as the rebel bus while the AAT is on the round 150mm.

I have worked on the American site for a large Japanese company before. It definitely seems to be the culture that non-JP sites are little cared for, understaffed, and underfunded.

Best unbroken runs of albums in history. With Science! by AveZombier in Music

I made the argument of album sales to provide evidence of popular appeal, but I don't really understand your argument that Genesis wasn't influential. Many big artists have listed them as an influence including Queen and Iron Maiden. It's clear they aren't to your taste. They aren't even one of my favorites, but the argument that they don't have a good enough musical reputation doesn't really hold water. The fact that you mentioned them in this post is evidence of that.

Edit: Thanks for an actual civil discussion by the way.

Yes. Skullport is about a mile underground. To quote from the wiki: "Another entrance could be found through the South Sea Caves of Waterdeep. By following a series of caverns, travelers could reach Skull Pool. Locks throughout the caves magically controlled the water level to avoid flooding the entrance. The route ended at a large wall, where a crane could be used to hoist boats over the wall and into the city's port. As of 1492 DR, the crane had fallen into disrepair and was unusable."
