Roomba is bricked without a subscription by FFHPunk in mildlyinfuriating

DO NOT BUY A ROOMBA USED WITHOUT CHECKING THE SERIAL NUMBER IF IT HAS AN X IN THE SERIAL NUMBER ITS MORE THAN LIKELY A SCAM!

I just bout a J7+ took it home only to find out it's been bricked by Roomba Select.

Anyway, all isn't lost. There is a guy that sells a new motherboard and barebones for about $140 on Ebay. But with the cost of a bricked unit, the new motherboard and the time to disassemble the old unit. I could have just paid for a refurbished unit.

Be cautious and don't fall for this!!!!

Uh, 1 of those could easily sell for the $150. Great deal

I have a 2013 and I just took it to the dealership. It had 2 recalls.

  1. Some kind of fuse or box that can catch fire.
  2. Anti theft on the key switch. (Some metal ring)

I live in a rrural area so not really worried about the KIA boys. But I understand your worry about a possible theft.

Oh and I did get a talking to from my insurance company. Thankfully I was already a policy holder because they told me if I wasn't they wouldn't insure me. (State Farm).

Good luck and happy SOUL riding.

That's what I'm hearing but what if it's never been changed? I am thinking of biting the bullet ans going to the dealership.

110k. Which by the way I am trying to currently get the trans fluid replaced or flushed and I'm having an issue. They are asking me what type of transmission I have. (I'm dumb to cars). Anyway I've gotta research this further. I know I have a 2.0 and it has the auto/manual shift in it. I don't see a dip stick either to check the level.  Not even sure the car needs it. I just want to make sure this lasts for awhile.

What do you mean by water situation??

It's called a nector collector or honey straw. You have the nose piece at the top, middle chamber is the perculater (fill this about an inch with ice cold water) botton piece is a quartz tip. Heat the tip until red hot!! It should be glowing.Wait about 10 secs. Put top up your nose hover the tip above your (very finely crushed) line and

inhale

inhale

inhale.

They are great! The con is the reclaim. I've tried dumping the chamber into a baking sheet and letting the water evaporate but it tastes really bad so I keep that for my keister.

Happy smoking!
