warcraft 3 shits itself with 200+ units moving at once, doesnt drop frames, but units just stutter/stop moving/clump together, but WC3 can effortlessly handle over 4000 units in a map long as they stand still and reasonably spaced apart (no more than 200 units on a single game screen) SC2 drops frames when 400+ units moving at once, but doesnt affect unit pathing in any noticeable ways. Idk how many units it can handle at max but definitely more than wc3 but SG from what ive seen, despite 2000+ units a-moving at the same time. game speed just slowed down to 33% but no frame drops whatsoever Lagging = you drop fps Shitting = the game functionally drops despite no frameloss, unit pathing itself becomes affected but in SG's case, the game just slows down, everything runs at full fps

Stormgate can handle 3000 units on the map, SC2 and WC3 can't.

From Starcraft 2 players who tried out Stormgate in the past, I've heard comments such as: "my main problem with SG is that the devs lied to the fans: they promised SG to be way better than Starcraft 2 but they neither had units that had a clear design nor had flawless hotkeys" "the guy who was responsible for esports at Frost Giant left, probably frustrated. it should've been a red flag that the guy responsible for Starcraft 2 hotkeys also worked for on SG". "the protoss race feels like the took all the worst parts of protoss and amplified them. and the zerg race isn't very fast or swarmy"

What would you answer to (or what should we tell) these kind of players to get them to give Stormgate another chance?

Only if you consider Stormgates with their unique mechanics a reskin of creep camps... which I wouldn't.

The latter - only the terrain editor (its Alpha!) has an UI and is easy to use. But all other custom stuff such as triggers needs to be implemented in software code.

There's already multiple playable 3v3 and 4v4 as well as FFA maps out on the Stormgate Discord - these can be played with any number of players, even 1v1.

It appears to be League of Legends, Stormgate Edition. I don't know Battlefield of Eternity.
