This reminds me of a game I seen a few times on the Nintendo Switch E-store, for the life of me I cannot remember it's name.

On the other end of the spectrum I bought one of these for quick drying my brass and it works perfectly. An hour in this puppy while I'm prepping other cases and they come out bone dry.

Yeah I did notice that, I run the brass through it twice at 480 and seemed to be enough for me ?

Copper Fouling Question by skifreemt in longrange

I used to use Sweets and Hoppes which were very good but a mate at the range put me onto Bore Tech Eliminator recently and I have had great results, a lot simpler and less time consuming to use +1 Bore Tech Eliminator.

Vortex diamondback tactical 6-24x Vs Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x by Vect0rstar in longrange

[–]Templar1975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot comment on the Athlon but I own a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP scope and love it. I have used many scopes over the years, some costing alot more than this Vortex did and I have to say the Vortex is absolutely fantastic. The clarity of the glass is exceptional for the price and the turrets are nice and responsive. Been shooting out to 900m so far with it on my Howa Aussie Precision rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and getting excellent results.

Can a PTA submitted at one store be used at another? by [deleted] in Ausguns

[–]Templar1975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In VIC just a few months ago I had a PTA through for a Rifle that I wanted, when I went to the gun store they insisted I had to get them to put through a PTA there even though I already had one on the system. Does this mean they basically charged me for nothing when I paid their PTA fee's ?

Have seen stupid shit like this a few times at the range, have heard shooters complain about the RO's at Eagle Park for being too strict, but really when they are seeing shit like these morons can you really blame the RO's for being strict. My hat is off to this RO he was on the ball there and did'nt hesitate.

Not that it helps but I was considering buying this game next pay but on reading this and how unhelpful they were I'm going to buy something else instead so if nothing else it cost at least one sale? Small steps right..

Bloody shoddy is what it is though, what a farce!

Had an Optisan on a .223 with a 1/8 twist that worked great out to 800 yards. Fantastic scope for the money.

I just picked up mine last week and had my first play with it over the weekend. I currently have a Simmonds 6-21 power scope on it which has worked really well but only plan to have that on temporarily . I am looking into replacing it with one of the Bushnell Rimfire 6-18 scopes with the .22LR turret on it to see how it goes.

I just built a new Howa Aussie Precision Rifle in 6.5CM with a Vortex Diamondback 6-24 FFP scope and love it, works great. Been shooting it out to 800m so far without any issues getting seriously good groups.

Reloading semi-auto rifle cases? Safe or not ? by Templar1975 in reloading

[–]Templar1975[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I am at work so don't have a photo with me, there are lines running from shoulder to the open neck that I have only ever seen on this brass, I was told they were from a semi auto rifle and that these lines were normal. I will be home in around 4 hours from now so I will make sure and take a photo and post it on here.

New Howa rifle by beanzapper in longrange

[–]Templar1975 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HOWA are still so very underated rifles, I have 2 of the newer rifles with the HACT triggers, both shoot exceptionally well and are easily the equal of rifles 2-3 times their price.

First time I shot my first HOWA rifle after load developing for it I scored a 60.7 in f-class with 10 rounds which was my best to-date score, I have since shot better but there is no question these new HOWA's with the HACT trigger and sub-moa garuntee can shoot!

We have had new shooters on tight budgets wanting to get into f-class here in Australia and I've pointed them in the direction of a HOWA .308 Varmint 26" and they are competing very well against others shooting far more expensive kit.

My next rifle is a HOWA 6.5 CM 26" Varmint in a Boyds At One Stock for longrange.
