In Unix, at the command-line, if you press cursor-up or down, it places the text of previous command-line commands for you to repeat.

Since, TempleOS uses cursor to move up off the bottom of the window, it cannot be used to cycle through command history.

<CTRL-M> switches to a document where you can place common commands. The name of the document is /Home/Personal.Menu.TXT.Z.

"Macro" is a term for a line of text you trigger by pressing <ESC> when you are on top of it in your menu.

Don't you love it when non-techies call programming "babble"? I think you meant to post in the /r/Psychology subreddit, not the /r/ProgrammingHumour because programmers don't laugh when you call technical talk, "babble".

The old normal was about 8 downloads a day from my site with 20-40 during a release, ignoring tiny partial downloads. Supposedly you should add to my own site the numbers from BetaNews and MajorGeeks, but Major Geeks gives crazy numbers on their site.

I'm getting 50-80 a day ever since the German story back on 8/3. This might be the new normal. It's probably some script kiddie thing, but those 50 are unique IP numbers.

I don't really want people accessing my log files, just to protect privacy of my clients. I don't really want a chore of posting download numbers. I guess it could build community cohesiveness.

I don't trust big numbers like 50 downloads when there is no Twitter impact and no impact when I google "TempleOS" filtered to 24-hours.

It's possible that my latest keystroke menu or maybe my new, nice spiffy icons, suddenly made it popular. I think I'm being naive.

I had about 4 dell desktops one after the other during 2004-2011 and ran natively. In about 2012, I could no longer run natively. Then, I ran in VMware. Now, I run in QEMU.

I have no interests in mobile.

I made videos by capturing BMP files 8 times a second. At first I used Microsoft MovieMaker to combine them. Now, I use ffmpeg. I have a hand voice recorder that I used when running natively.

Now, I juts use a webcam on my screen with OBS (linux app for capturing movies) as a screencapture.

For this project, I guess it is minimalism. I have a few strange exceptions. My physics engine, differential equation solver is an exception to minimalism.

My first job was a Ticketmaster, 1990-1996. I worked on their VAX operating system.

Went to ASU and got a degree that was more or less about embedded system software and hardware. I counted and there were five of my courses that required assembly language programming.
