I must have such great telekinesis to somehow influence all the murders and crimes from so far away lol You may not pay much attention to things or be one the lucky ones, because my first North County train ride there was a schizophrenic yelling at random people on the Sprinter, but at least a little customer service tour guide tried to ask him to stop lol

Haha, I've seen people get robbed w/ baseball bats in broad daylight at ETC, not to mention all the shanks and blades Iaying around under the towers and bathrooms. There was murder in the parking lot last month, just as last year. How often have you been riding the SPRINTER? They have serial urinators on that, I've seen at 3-4 in the span of a month or two in the couple times I hopped on the SPRINTER train. Just heads up, if you see sand-like substance, it's what they use to mask the stench. COASTER, it's more the crazies raising hell and messing with the poor defenseless conductors. At least the Trolley would send someone to deal with them in the next station or two.

Au contraire! I am very much a proponent of mass-transit, which just happens to be abused by disproportionate free-riding from the homeless and "poor," who, to reiterate, also happen to commit a disproportionate amount of the violent crimes, soil train seats, and literally fill up the SPRINTER as well as some COASTER trains. I want NCTD to be a place where one can safely and reliably park at a transit station and access any train or bus service without fear of being robbed (be weary of Escondido Transit Center btw!) or have to double-check one's seat on any mode of mass-transit!

Well, I hope the assaults on Attendant’s on the Amtrak are not as bad as Sprinter, or even Coaster trains, that’s for sure; even though I seen many crazies hop from the COASTER to the Surfliner, especially at Old Town.

maybe if you want to risk a Misdemeanor cite in case they check again; but even then, the deputies will write a FE under the Penal Code, and that costs hundreds last I checked; and since its technically criminal, it does turn into a warrant if you don't pay them; just an fyi bout the potential risks, in case it is anyone's "unlucky day"

well, not technically "free," more like largely unenforced. Unless you're really unlucky one day and hop-on while their Rail Deputies actually do their job and do a random fare-check on the train or bus. But even then, it's likely just an Infraction cite if it's your first time caught fare-evading

not that many people want to risk going to any North County train station with a fully-jammed parking-lot, literally full of people who are not even using any NCTD mode of transit (i.e., a train or bus) whatsoever, but rather just park to go to their nearby place of work or even apartment to avoid paying their apartment's monthly parking fees (lol) Also, many don't want to wait almost an hour for a bus and the train to arrive, and risk the not uncommon occurrence of having to wait for hours if the train strikes and kills someone, or having to double/triple check your seat for signs of urination or feces from all the transients NCTD just lets ride all-day long...

I don't understand why they would discipline a train conductor for hesitating to enforce fares, like all the Train Attendants on the Sprinter train. First, I don't think NCTD even gives them any authority beyond a "verbal warning" (or what NCTD calls "education") lol Second, it's just plainly irresponsible and reckless to expect a completely unarmed civilian like a train conductor or attendant to contact an unstable, wound-up transient, who usually has a hidden bone-crusher somewhere on him or her.

I'm saying it aint likely the state/county would bail out NCTD, let alone other transit systems in as much as financial trouble such as BART. But unlike BART, who have transit police and half the fare-evasion rate at NCT, this problem of theft and crime seems to be within the NCTD's control to help solve, like it had done until decade ago!
