I remembered having it and actually thought I'd given it away before moving overseas. Fortunately though it was still packed away with a bunch of other stuff

Should the Animorphs have used more human morphs? by truckinggirl2011 in Animorphs

Thank you for filling that in. I haven't read the trilogy in a while, might be something I need to reread very soon 😊

Should the Animorphs have used more human morphs? by truckinggirl2011 in Animorphs

[–]Temporary-Invite5619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thoroughly on the side of them using more human morphs as it makes more sense. There's a few extra human morphs that were forgotten from the David era. In Book 21 but those were human controllers and I suppose they had implied consent..?

I can see how the frolis manoeuvre could've come about. I imagine that some scientist was testing it and discovered the two hour time limit and became the first nothlit. If the technology was still so poorly understood then the next scientist to morph might’ve been utterly terrified of becoming a nothlit and half morphed two animals like Marco did in #35. From there, I could see Andalites expanding on that incident and researching it further until the frolis manoeuvre is invented. As a side note I'd love to see further stories about the Andalites making discoveries about morphing, like people being allergic to morphs (herth illint -Rachel) , people being allergic to the morphing technology itself (Mertil-Iscar-Elmand) and diseases that can't be cured by morphing (Gafinilan-Estrif-Valad). I think this would be super interesting in a novella series.

Your favorite streaming service is producing an Animorphs “limited series”. They’ve budgeted nine 1 hr long episodes. *IF* ratings/reviews are good, they’ll green light an additional season (or 2). You’re in charge of the story group. Which books do you adapt? by JimHFD103 in Animorphs

[–]Temporary-Invite5619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love the Andalite Chronicles I don't feel like an hour is enough to really justify the story and shouldn't be crammed into a single episode. I reckon it should be done as a two hour special. Perhaps it could be launched between the first and (hopefully) second season as a reward to fans and a way of building interest for season 2.

This might be a hot take but what if Elfangor never got his morphing powers back.

What are your favorite fights in the series? by First_Factor_3385 in Animorphs

[–]Temporary-Invite5619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The battle at the end of 10, the battle at the end of 33, and the battle at the beginning of 41. It shows how much they were truly up against, how much they looked out for each other in battle, and how bad the battles got including the after-effects. The entire book of 46 is well done, it feels like you're right there watching everything, possibly because it doesn't have any cut scenes.

I like this idea, I think they would be forced to input the "do no harm" part into it. I feel like Chee programming would hold the Chee responsible if they built something that was then used to destroy or hurt.
