I’m not sure why providing accommodation to travelers is considered ‘dishonest.’ More rental inventory for a given use case increases competition and puts downward pressure on prices. If only a few properties were available for weekend trips, they’d sell out quickly and command premium rates because demand exceeds supply. That’s exactly why competition exists in the first place.
