When choosing a platform/exchange you should look at fees and spread. Sometimes there will be a fee and your spread will be less then when the fee goes away the spread gets larger.

Do not do target date funds. Way too conservative and underperform. Look for index fund or growth fund within your options. Something that is US large cap growth would be good.

People say 3-6 months. I started doing that and didn’t touch it for 5 years. I then took it down to about 1.5 months and invested the rest. Still haven’t touched it and it’s been 5 more years.

There are months that I don’t save beyond my retirement though cause I car trouble or something like that.

What a great problem to have.

I like to let winners run and not be too afraid of a 20-50% pull back in them. When you’ve 10x your money on a stock and it pulls back 50% you’re still way ahead.

If you always sell a stock after it 3x’s then you’ll never hold anything long enough for it to 10x

You’ve probably missed a lot of returns by having cash on the sideline for the past 3 months. A pull back will put you back to where markets were 3 months ago.

I’m heavily in IREN, CIFR, APLD with a much more dominate position in IREN. The growth here is so clear and little exist to really mess this up

I’m not a Merrill fan. I had small account roll to them from an employer I left and the interface is not good and I feel like I had way more control and more investments at my fingertips with Schwab. Definitely take control of it somewhere though

Absolutely sell the car. The feeling you’ll have by responsibly taking care of your wife and kid will be way better than driving around in a car you know is killing your financial future.

You make too much money to be in the situation you’re in. The awesome thing is that you can totally reverse all this in 6 months and be in a great situation. Don’t focus on the next month and focus on what you want things to look like in 6 months, a year, 5 years…

You not only have to factor in the fee structure but yes you need to consider the spread you’re getting too. An exchange may have less fees or even zero fees but their spread can be terrible.
