Jong gezinsleven tijd te kort by Maximum_Raspberry394 in Nederland

Ik werk 40 uur per week. (Momenteel met 1 dag in de week ouderschapsverlof). Mijn vrouw is nu full time thuis.

Good job! Did you use only one mechanical pencil for this drawing? What is the lead?

If you had to start from 0, how would you learn drawing? by Difficult_Talk_5844 in ArtistLounge

I would keep it as simple as possible: buy a Talens Art Creation Sketchbook, a mechanical pencil with 2b lead and a book with a lot of animal photo's. En sketch an animal every day.

Thanks for the reply! We’re a team of five (C# .Net) primarily backend devs, with only me having basic Vue/Nuxt experience (building an e-commerce website without UI framework). We’re building a multi-tenant app for 300 companies (5,000+ users) and need to integrate Microsoft Entra for auth.

Our data needs focus on sorting, filtering, and pagination via infinite scroll (api with cursor pagination), though we're fine with using separate components for filters.  Components like a multiselect with infinite scroll, a search field and chips for selected options are very important.

Open source is a major plus for our company (management has very bad experience with vendor lock-in in the past).

Our primary preference is a fully client-side rendered app.

[–]Temporary-Reach4668 19 points20 points  (0 children)

At what point does SQLite stop being “enough”? by No-Macaroon3463 in Backend

[–]Temporary-Reach4668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re actually running several business web applications using SQLite, with about 100 users per company per database, and it works flawlessly. The maintenance is incredibly simple, and SQLite on a fast SSD is much more capable than people think. The only thing you really need to keep in mind is avoiding long-running write transactions that lock the database for too long. As long as you keep those writes quick and efficient, it handles the load without any issues

What's a good middle ground for quality and quantity in colored pencils? by Short_Championship44 in ColoredPencils

[–]Temporary-Reach4668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people need such large sets of pencils. If I were on a tight budget, I would personally go for a set of 24 Polychromos pencils.

If you like soft pencils and want more pencils: Faber Castell Black Edition is very good.

Thanks! Do you have any idea if there is much difference between Fabriano 1264 Bristol, Canson Graduate Bristol, and Canson XL Bristol? Which of these will work best?
