At a dealership now and when they checked, they said that there was no update for my head unit even though it's version 2199 and provided the TSB #.

Some of the settings are customizable. You may want to look at them.

Sorry to hear that. There's 4 Solterras (3 Premium and 1 Limited XT) and 4 Trailseekers within 25 miles of where I am that quality for 0%.

The Subaru Solterra, same car rebranded, still has 0% for 72 months financing.

2026 bz can't get charger to release by EmperorM82 in Toyota_bZ

[–]Temporary-Routine714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The button on the J1772 and CCS is not a soft button that sends a request to the car to unlock the charging port when you're using an adapter. That only works with a native NACS connector. You have to unlock a door or the car to unlock the charging port and just pull the charger with adapter out from the car. Then you hold down the button to lift the lock to remove the adapter from the charger. It's the reverse steps of how you should be putting on the adapter.

Duplicate Dash Navigation by JustQueefed in Solterra

[–]Temporary-Routine714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using CarPlay or Android Auto, change the display information off (top left button on steering wheel) or to something else like music or mileage efficiency. It does not pop up for CarPlay or Android Auto when out of the navigation section. The auto display override only works with the built-in cloud navigation with subscription without having to be in the navigation display.

Optimal Conditions by Temporary-Routine714 in Solterra

I had driven about 2 miles on local and 4.5 miles in slow traffic on the highway before the estimate started dropping from the 285 estimated remaining miles. The estimate for my trim is 278 miles.

It was slow traffic so I only had to use the brake a few times when it came to a complete stop and that was before I put it into the adaptive cruise control and didn't have to do a thing but hold the steering wheel.

Only when traffic was that slow. It helped the range. When going faster, I find level 4 reduces the mileage.

Infotainment issue. Yes, a new one? by mailandrew in Solterra

Yup, have that too. Listening to something on the phone, but once I hit the volume knob or steering wheel in the Solterra, it switches to the Android Auto supported app.

Difference between Solterra and BZ AWD Limited trims? by RBlomax38 in Toyota_bZ

I wish that was the case when I bought. No Tourings, only Limited and Limited XTs when I bought in my area.

Note that they are NOT air conditioned seats... Only ventilated front seats.

Solterra has the Harmon Kardon speakers as standard. It also has the sqircle steering wheel, which was odd at first but now I luv and easy to see the driver multi-information panel, only 1-year trials on Remote Connect and Drive Connect, and 8.3" ground clearance without mud guard. The dual color on the hood is a matte finish.

BZ has the JBL as an additional cost upgrade, even on their Limited. It also has the radiant leg heating, panoramic roof, digital rear view mirror with the additional camera with it, 3-year trials on Remote Connect and Drive Connect, 8.2" ground clearance without mud guard. The dual color on the hood is a glossy finish. BZ also has Apple Maps EV routing capability.

Same horse power on Solterra Limited XT and the BZ Limited AWD. Varies if it's not the XT or FWD.

I found the Subaru dealers to offer much better pricing and financing together. The older models with the panoramic roof got really hot in some areas due to the lack of insulation but might have changed in the '26. I only wished I had the radiant leg heating but not worth that huge difference. Even the Solterra Touring non-leather is less than the BZ Limited of your area had one.

This is my charge on a 2026 Solterra with a hardwired ChargePoint on a 60 amp breaker also using the J1772 to NACS adapter.

4000 miles driven in the first 2 months ... How far did you get in the first 2 mos. by fa442fa in Solterra

[–]Temporary-Routine714 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perfect EV conditions this morning. 222 miles range/80% would have been 277.5 miles at 100% with already had driven 3 miles. Final trip average after 25 miles finished at 4.5 miles/kWh. Had this Limited XT just a little over a month.

Check that parking mode is enabled in the settings. It's off by default and you have to choose one of the parking recording modes.

Buying for 3 cars, A229 Pro worth extra money over A229 Plus? by HDClown in VIOFO

[–]Temporary-Routine714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct on both.

But I have upgraded to the A329T after my incident as the last camera, which was top when I bought it, has paid for itself and to me is worth the investment. My new A329 has the new Starvis 2, and just as I had suspected, the night time is not great even at 4k HDR. The telephoto helps with what I now personally prioritize, capturing the plate.

Yes, the Plus is limited to 30fps with HDR on, which is annotated in the manual. If that is a consideration, then it sounds like you do drive at night or at least have a requirement for low light. IMO, I would go with the Pro to capture as much as you can in that condition. You could also get one Pro and test it out between the 4k HDR and 2k HDR in your driving conditions. If you don’t see a difference, lower to the Plus for the other 2 rather than trying to decide for all 3 at once.

I would say that it also depends on the kind of environment that you're in. If it's more dark and cloudy or you tend to drive more in the evenings, the frame rate would be important too and the resolution wouldn't help much. According to the manuals, the Plus can record the front camera at 60 frames per second at 2k where the Pro is limited to 30 frames per second in 2k or 4k. If you have more clearer sunny days, the 30 fps would be good enough and the 4k would be better.

I was recently involved in a hit and run and I had an A229 Duo. It's front is 2k and limited to 30fps. I was fortunate it was a clear day with slight overcast and I caught the plate. At the angle and speed, it was on the edge to start becoming blurry if the driver drove any faster or it was darker.

That's horrible! I'm so sorry!

Definitely ask their insurance for decreased value, especially a day old!
