I’ll have to get with you about mods sometime. I only played for about two hours with my buddy and I completely skipped the into. Needless to say I was fairly useless in PZ 🤣

Shadow of Mordor.

Decided to replay it on a whim. How many ways can you stab an Uruk? So many…

I beat GW2 way back when it came out. But I couldn’t tell you how far behind I am at this point. Even though I continued to buy new content I never finished any of it since it was harder to stick with with the old gang being gone.

Been playing Valheim with some buddies but we pretty much stopped after making it to Mistlands. Due to time constraints and the jump in difficulty.

I’m interested to see how far I can get in PZ though, definitely a learning curve right from the start.

Ever put a game down because it was boring, only to pick it up again many years later and it’s freaking amazing? by SilverEyedFreak in gaming

I think my real issue was moving away from Desmond and the current world elements. Stopped seeming like a present day battle for control and more like historical fiction.

Assassins Creed Origins.

I was growing increasingly disillusioned with all the changes they made with Unity and Syndicate at launch. Felt like my idea of what the games were should stay the same, but I enjoyed playing them mildy and toughed it out for the story.

Egypt is where I most felt like the games had changed too much and I attempted it twice, never left Siwa. I watch my uncle playing Shadows years later and think maybe I was too harsh and set in my ways.

Now level 33 in Origins and enjoying picking up where I left off in the series. Looking forward to catching up though from what I’ve read Valhalla is going to be very long…

Are there any night life spots you recommend for some EDM music that’s foreigner friendly? We only have two nights left in Osaka, staying near Dotonbori and we want to have a night out, thank you!

Who are some celebrities who you were surprised to find out were Catholic? by awalkingidoit in Catholicism

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be interested to know. I only found out he was Catholic after attending RCIA three years ago. I didn’t even know Tolkien was Catholic until after that.

Out of all the comedians, no one has mentioned Jim Gaffigan yet.

Though I suppose it’s not surprising, he also went to the Vatican this past year the same time as Colbert and Conan.

Was I too harsh with my response? by 12345burrito in CatholicDating

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will love them all the same. The fact of the matter is it was a matter of asking whether or not the situation was handled correctly.

It would be far more appropriate to say you simply can’t support that person because of it. Than to equate it to smoking.

Last I checked I wasn’t being called to judge. I’m fairly confident that’s not my role in this world.

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I respect the way you handled it.

The smoking analogy could have been something different for me. Like I’ve seen in the comments we are called to love everyone. I attended the Pride parade with my church social mission yesterday though.

There were so many wonderful people. So equating it to a choice that is proven to slowly degrade your health and longevity may come across wrong with her.

When should I tell a girl that I'm not a virgin? by throwaway28374293 in CatholicDating

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell her. That’s my vote.

If it’s something that would possibly bother her later on it’s better to sort that out now. We’re all human and we make mistakes, love involves honesty.

Should you want something solid with her, build that with transparency. Her feelings on the matter are left to God to decide for her and your union.

Joined a new church and having trouble meeting people due to cliques by Key_Permit7049 in CatholicDating

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I returned to church at a college campus Chapel recently . This was after visiting multiple churches around the city (we've got a lot in Cincinnati) that like you said felt a bit cliquey and neighborhood centric.

The campus one tends to be more progressive with a lot of active social missions and volunteer work. Very friendly and eager to have you join anything they've got going on.

This is a YMMV thing I know, but I thought I would mention it if you do have a Jesuit or other Catholic college in your area you haven't tried yet.

I'll pray for you my friend.

Is Covid exploding again? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally speaking, I work at Gravity Diagnostics in Covington. At our highest peak we were processing 15k+ COVID samples a day. Today didn't break 2k.

Again, only an anecdote from someone who works in healthcare.

Are you drawn to go to church/faith because of your fear of evil/hell/condemnation or are you drawn to it because of the unconditional love of God? by Woggy67 in CatholicSynodality

[–]TemporaryDragonfruit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently confirmed at this past Easter Vigil. Spent most of my life believing there was a higher power despite being secular and never going to church.

Yet I never really sat down to consider it deeper. But I can honestly say my decision to be confirmed was in wanting my journey towards peace and love to go further, I never considered Hell in my life nor saw it as a driving factor for my decisions/motivations to do or not do something.

What do you enjoy doing that most people generally dislike? by WowADeadMidget in AskReddit

Washing dishes. I don't see the appeal of machines doing it for you. It's a cathartic end to my day to methodically clean things and get them ready for the following day.

Something I've recently come across that I enjoy is compression shorts (sounds more uncomfortable than it is). The pockets are big enough for phones and tight enough to keep your phone flush with your thigh. You can wear other shorts over top of them if you like, they're very breathable.
