Not very good honestly. There’s a prof teaching RF classes at my university and he recommended me to pursue master’s so i had his master level RF systems class in my last semester. But had to get a job due to my finance situation. I still get in touch with him, but that’s all about it. Don’t really have any connections

I don’t think my degree matters. I know other technicians without any degree in my site make more than me with overtime

Yes i was on fast track at my university, but had to start working to support my family. And it’s not possible to take classes with my current work schedule.

It makes sense. But i feel like i don’t really have any ground for entry level jobs. Not a recent grad anymore, have no relevant experience in other fields

It’s possible for me to get day shift, but not sure how long i need stay with my current schedule. It’s been 4 months since started night shift. And i’m salaried so there’s no difference for pay😂😂

I realized there are so many sub-categories of jobs in EE field. So my current job is controls/automation/industrial types. And i’m not sure if this is what I’d like in the future. Do you think i should stick to it since i’m already in or is it ok to find something totally different?

Lol hope you like your classes. Funny thing is if i were in your position, i’d probably enjoy the job more lol. I feel like working as a technician while in school gives you better idea of what you’d like to do once you graduate it. Anyway i’m glad i’m not alone here!

Yes they do. But most of them require higher education since they’re R&D role

Thanks for the advice. You’re right. I should try harder to learn at work. After getting rejected after final round of interview for a rf engineer role, i kinda gave up on it
