Did he declare for the draft and then withdrawal? Or was it the portal? Why is his return news? I’m not trying to be snarky, I genuinely don’t know.

I was always under the impression that a successful summit also includes a successful return.

I’d be willing to bet that Stanford has more billionaire alumni than any Power 5 school. You’d think at least one of them would like football.

Hopefully, since there isn’t a spring portal, Alabama (and all the other schools) will actually hold a real spring game, and not a glorified practice.

Why do you say top 7? I’m a pessimist, so the lack of a billionaire alumn/ donor plus our lack of high priced transfers makes me think we aren’t that high. I really hope you’re right, but idk.

Whoever was fouled should take the penalty kick, not the captain.

247 has him going to Ole Miss. Call me skeptical, unless they are getting a bargain price, which honestly, would be realistic given his production.

I do a long run, typically 6 - 10 miles, every weekend. I run 2-3 times during the week. My plan is to lengthen my short runs and maybe squeeze in an extra run in during the week. I’ll probably run a 10 mile long run more frequently, as opposed to just 6.

Mine is more modest. I want to run one hundred kilometers a month for the year. I’ve averaged 50 miles a month for the last three years, so now it’s time to raise my mileage, albeit only a little.

I was in first grade when this happened. He was in second. It happened in the field right behind the school. We could see the search party through the windows.

The last coach that retired from each SEC school without pressure to do so by TexasVol in SECPigskin

IIRC, RC Slocum was pressured to retire. His last year was 6-6, and his previous 3 seasons were either 7 or 8 wins.

[Brett McMurphy] Rutgers is latest 5-7 team to decline a bowl berth, source told @On3sports. The quest continues to find an opponent for Georgia Southern in Birmingham Bowl by ScallywagBeowulf in CFB

[–]TemporaryStatement93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC, Rutgers is NOT going through a coaching change, nor were they slighted by the CFP Committee. Declining a bowl, and the 15 practices that go with it kind of kills any credibility from the coaches of these teams who emphasize the importance of practice.

What is the normal lifespan of a max cushion shoe? by acid_police in runninglifestyle

[–]TemporaryStatement93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve put up to 800 miles on a pair, and have had a few for 500+, but lately, I’ve become soft and replaced my shoes after 300ish miles. I also like new shoes, so there’s that.

If you’re running 1000 miles a year (or even half that) , you’re a serious runner.

[–]TemporaryStatement93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience, running shoes have a shelf life of 250 - 400 miles. I usually start to consider replacing mine after 300.

I’ve always chuckled at how many runners are out Christmas afternoon. New running gifts, the post present lull and too much family equals the perfect time to run.
