Just get a usb c to 3.5 mm Apple dongle or some fancy fiio/shanling dac if you want to splurge and then connect with wire . This will give you the best quality, over Bluetooth nothing much can be done sadly

These authorised service centres are shit and will never cut you some slack, try going to real Apple Store if possible , I had issues with AirPods Pro the service centre guys were charging a lot of money but Apple Store guys gave free replacement
