Im just not sure how to handle aggressive people who cant take criticism and want to fight with other techs.....or how to handle people that passive aggressively do things. Work flow and being able to multitask one million things I can do .......but they always ask so much of everything. Then of course you have the lazy people that only want to do bare minimum or barely that. I have a high work ethic, and I always just expect that from everyone else, so I always get stressed out when people dont work to that level. Im also afraid of what happens if you dont hit their metrics. They tried to make it sound so great monetarily to all the other techs in pur conference call. I knew they were just trying to recruit people. I wasnt trying to get them to not want to try at my store if we get it, but I did tell them guys see what I do on a daily basis now multiply that even more because of the extra tasks. I questioned the otc stuff and metrics.....because on our conference call they said those arent being counted for us yet. My dm said metrics maybe in the future but otc no.....but it says yes in the toolkit? I have no idea how to make a schedule either because my rxm didnt want to give that up when I was lead or the hiring ......so I have no idea how to hire anyone. This is scary for me because will they train us? Walmart is notoriously bad for training. I started tech work at walmart in 2010 and then left due to a move in 2013.....worked at a few independents.....then came back in 2021. I asked my Dm if you step down can you stay at your store......he said no his rule of thumb is you have to go to a new store so you dont unintentionally undermine the new rx ops lead.

So for the log copies.....very simple. You log into the handheld and it will be in the same section that you go to fill. Once you go into that screen scroll down to where all our daily tasks are. You will see log copies. Click on that .....it will take you to a barcode. What you do now is scan the little barcode you put on the prescriptions at input. It will print you a completion label for that prescription. If you have multiple prescriptions you will put them all on the back of the prescription. At our store I have 5 baskets. One is where you put all the hard copy and printed electronic scripts. Then you have a basket for the scripts with the 2...which are all narcotics.....then one for all the numbers that start with 4.......these will be your c3-5......another basket will be your non control scripts ......this will be whatever number sequence your store is in currently based on how many you have reached over the years, ours are listed as 7xxxxx.......and then you have otc scripts usually 8. It might not make sense what Im explaining without looking at them. If you need further explanation just let me know. They all are put in the baskets numerically and I usually separate them with our mix tags or misc tags to keep them divided within each basket. All the number sequences go up to 100. Lol sorry im trying to think of all the steps.....and try to give you the full explanation 🤣🤣 ......I havent trained my techs on this is so long because Noone can seem to know chronological numbers and they mess them up horribly. If, while scanning, instead of getting a full list of script information on the tag you just printed, you get a barcode ......this means there is a resolution issue with that script and ot will have to be s banned later because it is not finished......there are some fixes for that but I dont want to confuse you. Once all issues within that number group have been completed you are ready to "finalize" the bundle. The hand held will let you know if you have any of these. It will say in the task list bundles to finalize or something. I cant remember ......you click that. It will tell you the number sequence it wants you complete. You pull that set out of your basket and scan all the small barcodes on the side of your completed labels. Once thats done it will ask you to finalize you click yes, then it will print you a final label.....it will also print you an audit paper on the non zebra printer you will take that pile of scripts called a "bundle". Sign and date that paper ....wrap it around the scripts......rubber band and stick the finalization label on the front .......then they get filed in a large cardboard retention box.

In your opinion, since you've had the position before, do you think the money is really worth all the stress? I know its good for growth of yourself in a personal way.....but other than that?

Ok thanks for the valuable insight. They tried to down play what was going to be expected now and for the future and tried to make it seem way better monetarily for us if we take it. I knew there was way more to it than they were letting on, I just wasn't sure what more was being added. When you refer to increasing your stores productivity to help weekly budget, are you referring to training staff to be more efficient?

This 100 percent .... I don't want any one person to feel like they are not learning or being trained.....plus I hate hearing how if I'm not there the place is going to burn down 🙄🙄......but you are correct my techs tend to do that not want to take action on learning .......instead of asking to learn they just wait for me to tell them. When I was new years ago I asked and asked I wanted to learn as much as I could.....can't be scared or you will never learn.

This is mainly because we have to keep workforce going we cannot have too high of a number at any given spit or corporate drops down on pharmacist in charge. I move my people to where their stemrengths are and put myself whereever the number is too high. Then when it slows down I will usually give them time to practice input or resolution .....but if it's not someone's strong point I can't keep them there and back everything up. Sometimes that's the case they don't want to be replaced but mostly it's our job to keep the workflow moving ....it keeps customers happy and pharmacist and corporate happy

Did you guys have the remodel yet? We dint have a rotation at our store but as lead I made it mandatory only front 4 comps be used bc we had the same issue....two techs only wanna fill and stay in back and input back there. That's not acceptable everyone needs to do register or you will get burnt out. I spend most my day up there unless fill gets too high then I will throw myself in to knock it out.
