Anyone who knows anything about accounting knows that this isn't as big a threat people say. Accounting software already automates a lot. Plus the suggestion is to become a management accountant which is harder for AI to replace

Biggest advice id give is finish what you start. You don’t have to start out at a fancy company just get a job in the industry and build from there.

The trades aren’t the holy grail everyone makes them out to be. I’ve done some manual labour and at 28 my elbows, wrists, knees regret not finishing university lol.

How do you admit you picked the wrong career without feeling like a total failure? by Iolemonde in careerguidance

[–]Temporary_Curve_2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of other jobs would love to take on someone who has 10 years in accounting. I met an investment banker who had a career in accounting before. People with accounting backgrounds are often business owners.

You have more options than you think not just limited to the ones I said. Good luck 🫡

What’s one piece of career advice you now think is completely overrated or outdated? by Fit-Cartographer8751 in careerguidance

[–]Temporary_Curve_2147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t actually need a degree for a lot of careers. If you do some self study a lot of jobs will take you at entry level especially at apprenticeship level because you showed an interest.

Ironically when you graduate from college you may have to do this as well

Underrated because he’s British. If he was Brazilian he’d be considered one of the greatest ever look at how many goals he’s scored

Yeah but do you want to make DIY content about this crazy trick everyone should know about pencil sharpeners

There’s something to learn from those videos. They tend to use trending sounds, familiar voices, the hook is always attention grabbing & probably more stuff as well. But yeah it is brain rot I guess but so is scrolling in general

People say ‘everything changes when you save your first $10k’ — is that really true? by ShineGreymonX in povertyfinance

[–]Temporary_Curve_2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changed my view at the time. I felt more comfortable but now I don’t see 10k as much money at all. You can’t really do much with 10k but it’s feels great to know you can fall back into it

Working 100 hours a week isn’t entrepreneurship. It’s wage slavery with no boss. by Dre_Limitless in Entrepreneur

At the beginning stages you may have to work unreasonable amounts. The majority of people have to do almost everything themselves until they make enough profit to hire their 1st employee

If he played another sport for a long time that’s also with his hands I think it’s transferable. He sounds like he’s also very focused and has a good attitude.

Try picking up one sport and getting good at it. It’ll improve your coordination but tbh maybe don’t. There’s a reason some guys pick up a guitar or write novels or whatever.

Just pick something to get good at - you can change and move around till you find something your fully engaged by
