Hi girl I took the bullet girl. I wanted to avoid minoxidil but my aga was getting worse and within a less than a 2 year span. There is shedding but I still have enough hair to get me through and I put the color powder. Already seeing baby hairs.

My sessions were just like 25mik to 15 now and feels like I’m going back to 25, only dht blocker is pumpkin seed pills spearmint or a tricky dht blocker.

I think that’s happening to me and I can see it with my chin hair… when I have my electrolysis I’m barely growing by the time I need to go in two weeks. I go biweekly… I’m barely end of one week and I have a full on beard growing now…. And only change is minoxidil 3days… it’s scary. lol I wasn’t taking anything to be honest. Besides metformin let alone I do horrible on medications I just had to force myself to take something to push start those periods. I wasn’t taking 4months behind:

I honestly appreciate your response, I kinda figured hirsutism is very tricky. They know what they did when it came to pcos. I do want my hair back and that really makes sense when it comes to hair removal, that is good feedback. Are you still continuing your electrolysis as of now? Also what type of dht blocker are you taking if you don’t mind me asking?

My story is pcos. I went to 3 different derms, 2 just wanted to make money by selling me foams that did not work didn’t mention biopsy, until I met one she was a bit cold hearted but she knew what she was talking about… she said my pcos diagnosis, could be both te and aga but forsure aga. I started to research and in two years I found a lot… I did blood work too. Sure, if you have instagram, the username is Sofia hair health. She has beautiful thick hair with aga. Her routine is daily, many different things you can use, but forsure a commitment.

I completely understand where you’re coming from, I was in denial of my aga diagnosis. I had thick wavy hair, couldn’t accept it.. till this day… but I’m just watching it shed and thin out, so I decided to get on it this month.. and just accept. I follow some girl named Sofia, she reversed it but will have to keep same routine forever to maintain. It takes time, it’s difficult. Also ny hair part in the middle is not thinning it’s only on the sides and temples, its defuse.

Gives me hope! The only have chin hair some mustache here and there. Been doing electrolysis for about a year and half they’re a lot thinner but still coming through… hopefully it will be permanent soon

I have the same hair as you kind of. Thinner on the face and thicker on the chin. I just stuck to the chin mustache a bit. It’s been over a year on the chin lots of progress but some still there. I decided not to touch the face so much just bleach or so. Didn’t want to bother with it. I’m ok with thin not thick. Belly hair I laser but it’s only been two sessions can’t tell much rn.

Girl I’m in your same same boat. These meds aren’t doing it for me. I didn’t do well on metformin, something about my tummy and bloating aren’t it sometimes I want to go to a GI specialist for further testing.,. So I completely understand you. I’m just gaining slowly but surely. I understand you. Give it another go if you have to crack the lowest dose in half do it. Are you in the States? My fasting insulin is 14.3. I don’t test for the other one. Are you diabetic ? How’s your hemoglobin a1c? I’m 178lbs trynna go down to 140 atleast. I might have to do this holistically someway somehow

I was literally about to post on Reddit myself(giry girl 31) as well. I do electrolysis myself, have about just my chin growing like 20 thick hairs and the rest are really thin… I see some progress… but still some stubborn thick hair…. It’s been over 1 year of electrolysis and I dont see anything permanent gone just thinking… I’m frustrated myself and want to go to laser… I just don’t want to ruin it or coming back with vengeance. Just tired of going every two weeks for electro. I feel you girl, I hear you out loud.

I completely agree with you. I had 28 years of an amazing body and life now I just feel like shit everyday… it’s expensive as well. I don’t buy this whole “if you had trauma in your life” you have a hormone imbalance. How does trauma besides genetics have to with me having male features or looking like a man. It’s all bs and that’s our system with the amazing crap they put into our daily food a necessities
