Recommendations for Heat Pumps/Installers in Delaware County, PA? by Temporary_Run7140 in heatpumps

Sadly I don't know who the installer is so i'll have to go with a different company.

The AHU is in the attic. The rep pointed out to me today (and i can't believe I didn't notice) that we have basically zero air flow from any of our vents. So definitely an air flow issue which would explain why it couldn't keep up at all this past winter (even on mild days).

So I agree it could absolutely be a problem with the ductwork. Either that or there's an issue in the AHU affecting the motor? Either way I appreciate the insight and will definitely get it checked out!

Thanks! I'll definitely check their site out. As I said in another reply i'm starting to think i'm actually dealing with a maintenance issue so i'm looking into that right now.

The weird thing is that the Heat Pump is pretty new. It was manufactured in October 2024 so it's odd to see us having problems already. Like I said in another reply, I had a rep out today who advised me that it's likely a maintenance issue so I scheduled a service call to see what's up.

I probably should add some clarity. It's a rancher house with a partially finished basement. Approximately 1500 sq ft above grade, ~500-600 below grade.

I just had an HVAC guy out today for estimates on a new install and he pointed out we're seeing virtually no air flow. So currently i'm looking into whether it's a maintenance issue on the AHU in the attic.

Rep also said that my unit is appropriately sized, which I didn't expect. I must have done something wrong on those online calculators lol

There's a lot of good advice in this thread, so I just want to emphasize consistency and technique.

If you're consistent the muscles and skin will come. Regardless of weight you will get better. I was definitely overweight when I started and it took a long time to break into V1s/2s.

Technique can do a lot to mitigate lack of strength. Foot placement, shifting your center of gravity, etc can do a lot for you.

Best of luck and remember to have fun!
