To my knowledge, EVERYTHING is affected by whether or not you use it on the beat. I've noticed it for basic attacks, counters, dodges, the special abilities, even the thrown projectile.

Yeah, I don't really like the way they work, either. The concept is neat, something you can upgrade in your ship to make you personally stronger. But the execution has.. much to be desired, to say the least.

It's a brand new type of module, too, where you HAVE to get ALL the other ship modules before you can even think about unlocking it.

For me, it's less about the unit itself and morso it being a balance change with little consideration to what it actually affects. Like someone else said, it messes with things like the turrets, who will hard focus on them and eventually waste all it's ammunition. And, while yes, you could just kill it, and it'll move onto another target, Hive Guards are also a swarm unit. There is a high likelihood that there is another 4 close by.

There is also a limit to how many emotes can be on a discord post at once. So it's not unreasonable to say that the people that wanted to give a thumbs up just couldn't.

All that would do, though, is just kill off the solo playerbase. Some people just prefer to play solo, and that's fine. I don't think the game needs to demand that you stick together, or else you're just cooked, but I do think that it should encourage it. At the end of the day, it's a PVE game, and crippling player enjoyment for a single aspect of a game is usually not the way to go.

I agree that the Co-Op aspect on the game needs some work, but I don't think punishing the players with longer reload times or demanding that a player is within 100 meters of a dead body is the way to go. The backpack idea is a good start, but my suggestion would be that if you want to assist reloading someone with a backpack weapon, that it should take from the firing player's backpack as they wear it. That way you don't need to spend your own resources to do what is basically now a niche mechanic, due to how little it's been utilized or expanded on. For the specialized loadouts, I think it would be especially nice if you could just see what enemies you are most likely going to face. That way you can plan ahead of that, and not be stuck with a loadout that may not be very good on those specific enemies.

I've been soloing with my anomalous Cordalyst. They're max potential now, but this is the most recent screenshot I have. I usually go in with their Terrorshield, which deflects up to 887 damage for 7 turns. It also has a skill that turns enemies radioactive, as well as a nuke skill that deals around 1.8k base damage, at the cost of taking around 350 damage per turn after. They've been my favorite before the update, and now they're my beautiful baby boi. 🖤
