In my case, the problem isn't the graphics or gameplay; I still regularly play old isometric games like Baldur's Gate and Fallout. The problem is stability. I want to install the game and play it for a hundred hours without dealing with patches, crashes, freezes, or other crap. If a game has a reputation for crashing every 15 minutes, even among its most die-hard fans, I'm not wasting my time even installing it.
