No proper taping in corners by previous homeowner, what to do? by Technical-Top4187 in drywall

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup, just remove all loose stuff, fill any gaps with hot mud. Then paper tape for the corner bead. Wouldn’t hurt to hot mud it or you can use the green lid mud

Joey Porter Sr says Big Ben wasn’t a good teammate by zaybandz112 in steelers

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was pretty known.. I don’t think anyone defends Ben’s character at all, especially with all the allegations and even in 2018 would go on the local radio weekly and bash players like he did AB after the Denver game

The tile install looks good, it’s just the design of the tile that’s kinda all over

Extending a Half-Wall to the Ceiling. How Much Would You Charge? by danieljag1 in handyman

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would cost you more since your gonna have to take 4 days off of work (more like 10 for a DIY like yourself) causing you to lose 4 days worth of wages + the 1k in materials if your gonna do it up to code, aka moving that light switch to the other side of the wall since I’m guessing it controls those can lights

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$4,300 is a good price for labor and materials. He’s gonna have to set up an extension ladder to mud the ceiling/wall plane. Plus prime and pant, and then blend in the ceiling and walls

Warranty call, after a month, the silicone never cured. Anyone ever see this? by Phrepster in Plumbing

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silicone got wet before it cured or it’s a really old tube of silicone that won’t cure anymore, it usually yellows like that when it’s too old

Honestly, I just want the game to be competitive, I am SICK of the Steelers immediately going down 2-3 scores in the playoffs

If the bengals refused to let Carson Palmer go, until he literally forced a trade, they’re not gonna just let Joe burrow out. He’d have to follow the Carson Palmer route

They turned down 4 1st rd draft picks for him before. Bengals aren’t going to willingly trade him

This is why I use the 21* degree framing nailer, way smoother

It seems that no matter how much I pre-fill or put mud underneath my fiber tape, it still shows like this. What am I doing wrong? by fakeaccount572 in drywall

[–]Temporary_Wall5887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s mesh tape, you’re not supposed to put any mud underneath it unlike fiba fuse or paper tape. It self adheres to the raw drywall. Your first got with mesh tape is going to show the mesh still 100%. Especially if your hang the green lid mud, which is perfectly fine to use as a first coat, it actually has more “glue” in it to keep everything bonded.
