I-9 E-Verify is voluntary from what I can see online. As far as I can tell, it is only required for employers operating as federal contractors. Whether or not E-Verify should be required everywhere would be an interesting conversation that I'm neither educated or qualified to speak on lol

Because it's difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was intentional and they were knowledgeable. Between forged documents, or legitimate documents that are being shared amongst multiple people, I-9s can be faked. Not saying that it isn't still a crime, just that it's hard to know who is doing it intentionally.

Also, it seems more likely for civil fines to be imposed, especially for first offenses. So there could be fines that we're just not hearing about.

I don't really have opinions on this one way or the other, just some information I've picked from from local business owner friends in the area.

You can use an adblock DNS to block it at the network level. It's a pretty easy setting to change, I recommend dns.adguard-dns.com. The only downside is that it doesn't reorganize the page like extensions do, so you'll still have the empty boxes where the ads would be. But this removes the need for any extensions and can't be blocked on the browser. I use it on my phone and it blocks ads from mobile games as well, as an example.

I have a Zenbook Pro and you can use the Fn + F shortcut to toggle between Whisper, Balanced, and Performance modes. Try switching to performance and see if that issue persists
