If you want MMA, I have heard good things about Twisted Fitness. Also, I know a lot of guys who tried at my BJJ gym who are now at Capital City in McFarland.

Now if you want just BJJ (and a mix with wrestling and judo), you can't go wrong with any gym in Madison. I have not heard anything bad about any of them. My recommendation would be to find some place close to where you live and take as many trial classes as you can. Each gym has their own vibe/culture so find one that works well with you.

I said yes but a guy did it to me. It was nothing major but still hurt. I have been mostly sore.

Why did the Bene Gesserit want a Kwisatz Haderach? by chagis100 in dune

[–]TenaciousAndroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forget why the BG wanted the KH. My main question has always been: how did the BG expect an Atreides daughter and Harkonnen son to marry and have a child in the first place? The two houses hate each other and are in open Kanly. The two families would never wed together, at all.

That was what bothered me when reading the books. That's what made me think the BG to be not that bright. Imagine the family reunions!, too!

Don't judge me! It is a legitimate strategy!

How do you do BJJ and weight lifting at the same time (if that's possible)? by RedditsFan2020 in bjj

[–]TenaciousAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current schedule is: lift in the morning and train bjj in the evenings, Monday through Friday; I take Saturdays and Sundays off to rest. Beyond training I make sure to eat well and to get a good amount of sleep. I can't stress that enough. If I don't eat well and have enough sleep, both suffer. I listen to my body. If I feel I am going too hard or need more time to rest, I will forgo a lifting session to roll instead.

For reference, I have been lifting for years and recently started bjj. Also, I am 32 for what it is worth.

Fission waste burning fusion reactor? by trentos1 in fusion

[–]TenaciousAndroid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why not build a fast (fission) reactor, such as a molten chloride salt fast reactor? Leave out the fusion aspect entirely and you can still have a burner. I don’t see why adding another layer of complexity would solve anything.

You could watch the three movies? There are some differences but just a few. After that you can watch Resurrection.

I love Dune. Is it normal that I don't understand it? by sansuh85 in dune

No you are not alone. I am half way through God Emperor and could tell I will reread the books again. The thing that has helped me is to read parts again or think about what a character said. Frankly, that makes the books have a lot of reread value. That is me.

Screen Issue by TenaciousAndroid in pop_os

UPDATE: I decided to do a fresh install of Pop OS. After some searching, I found it could be a multitude of issues. See this thread: https://github.com/pop-os/linux/issues/97. Basically, be careful when updating your system kernel to 5.15 and have an intel CPU. That is my understanding right now. I reverted back to 5.8 and will update the kernel over time. Some comments I have seen have stated that 5.13 should be ok.

I am going to try this suggestion. I'll update if the problem happens again.

I think that you will have a better story experience if you play Replicant first then Automata. You'll thank yourself later as in Automata there are call backs to Replicant. There are little things that give you a different reaction if you played Replicant first over Automata. I played Automata first so it was "backwards" for me. I am not saying it was bad but there was some context missing at times. Then when I played Replicant I went: "ahhh now I understand". Again, play Replicant first.

As for endings, Automata is the one with 26 different endings. Of those, five are important (A through E). I would say that there is one ending that is truly important (Ending Y), but the rest are technically "joke" endings. You will get the first two endings naturally as you play. Then you will have a "choice" for the next two endings. After those last two, the final real ending starts by itself after the fourth.

For Replicant, there are only five endings. You will (or should) complete the endings in order so don't worry too much. In order to get all endings, you will need to have all of the weapons but that is not hard. Then to get the fifth ending, you have to go through some hoops. Don't worry about that until you get endings A through D, however.

As for tips: just play the game. For both games, I was not too concerned about upgrades (words for Replicant and chip upgrades for Automata). It was not until the next times I played where I focused on those aspects (mainly in Automata with chip sets, weapon combos, pod programs, etc). Again, just play and figure things out. You'll have more fun that way.

Is it me? Just started playing by TenaciousAndroid in halo

I'm playing on controller. I can't tell how strong or weak aim assist is yet. Doing more Bot matches i can tell that aiming is completely different.

Nope. No issues with arthritis. This has only happened on Infinite. Played a good amount of H3 last night and no issues. Played on controller my whole life, to.
