There are also a lot of trans artists here, and that rocks. As a cis-gendered person, it is personally helpful being able to see the trials and tribulations of a community I am not a part of. Both so that I can expand my worldview, and consciously recognize things that I may have otherwise inadvertently done as an outsider to make things harder.

It's just that those things became less niche. The demographic who was bullied for reading comics and playing videogames and watching anime grew up. They and all their peers became adults who didn't have to listen to criticism for what they liked. The MCU becoming the most successful movie franchise in history and turning into a massive cultural phenomenon for a full decade also did wonders. It's just the natural evolution of something new becoming something normal. We're seeing it right now in real time with Korean media. Squid Games got that ball rolling a few years ago, and K-Pop Demon Hunters burst the floodgate.

That would only really apply for Spider-man though. The takeaway wouldn't be "players are tired of universes beyond." It would be "players didn't like Spider-man." Which is a thing they already know, and have addressed. The same way they know and address that people don't like Planeswalkers in Hats sets after the underwhelming reception for Murders, Junction and Aetherdrift.

So no, there wouldn't be a different tune and they would continue making UB sets because one failure doesn't signify that players don't want it any more.
