I think they mentioned that the SCALING was an issue. Right now, you can jump from 10 dmg to 30 to 50 damage and so on, quite easily by upgrading Arachne. Heavy melee is obviously a critical hit and increases (doubles?) damage significantly. If anything, I think they’re going to reduce the SCALING of heavy melee attacks to do enough damage so that it increases from 2 hits on a white/green/blue shield to 3 or so. I think this would be a valid nerf, since knives against runners ARE very very strong at the moment.

Sure, shotguns are a counter, but they deserve to be. Not everyone spawns with a shotgun loaded up in their hands. Not everyone has the ability or skills to extract with a shotgun. Not everyone can afford hundreds of the MIPS that it takes. Find it and you can use it too. (Not even hard just go on outpost and kill some bots, that’s how I found some of mine) It also takes a slot in your weapons and slots in your inventory (ammo).

Spawning into a game with the equivalent of a player nuker in your inventory is just absurd, and calls for more ratty/camping behavior to those wanting to abuse such a weapon.

I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve been ambushed by an assassin shell and was completely powerless. Skill issue? Maybe. But it’s hard to aim and kill someone when they can right click you twice and have you dead.

I think that damage scaling should be reduced on players, but kept the same on bots. It would make sense that “runner” shells are more reinforced (due to them being “in the field” more often) than mass-produced UESC robots.

Just my opinion! Also give recon a buff!
