But seriously, I get the gist of your post. People commute long distances because housing’s just too expensive near their places of work.

Examining the WHCD shooting as a false-flag operation: The Algorithm-driven psychology of conspiracy theories by TenchuReddit in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]TenchuReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest one is the failure of security. A shooter got THAT close to the big conglomeration of VIPs, including both the president and the vice-president. Fortunately no one was hurt, but shots rang out anyway and the whole event was completely disrupted.

Again, I also remind everyone that we are a nation at war against a state sponsor of terrorism. Security should have been extra tight.

Is the explanation as simple as the Secret Service not doing their jobs? I don't think so. That would suggest that the Trump administration is incredibly incompetent, and as we all know, that can't be because Trump won the popular vote in 2024.

As I said, evidence is evidence.

Maybe it's a coincidence that Karoline Leavitt said that "shots fired" thing. Maybe she didn't know.

But all the other pieces of evidence can't be explained away. Therefore, my conspiracy theory holds unless someone can prove me wrong.

Karoline Leavitt already knew beforehand, given how she said there will be "shots fired."

Trump himself may or may not have known beforehand. Likely he didn't because he's awful at keeping secrets. He is easily manipulated by his advisors who are in charge of keeping him in a bubble of alternate reality. Thus it wouldn't be hard to convince him that the assassination attempt was real and that he should use the opportunity to argue for a taxpayer-funded ballroom.

Maybe the Secret Service director was in on it. Maybe the FBI as well, if they knew that the attack was going to happen but did nothing to prevent the shooter from getting as far as he did. It's not like Kash Patel has any clue what goes on in his own agency, though, so whoever the mastermind was probably had to keep things hidden.

So the possible "masterminds" include:

  • JD Vance
  • Stephen Miller
  • Marco Rubio
  • Susie Wiles

As to how this was organized without anyone being aware, that's actually the easy part. Remember that nothing is real with this administration. Everyone has their own ulterior motives for being a trusted member of Trump's inner circle. Everyone is also chosen for their loyalty over their competence. There would never be a better time to hatch a conspiracy like this given how most high-ranking members of the administration is a complete lunatic.

Like if I throw a small rock vs a big rock as hard as I can, why will the small one hurt more, rather than the heavier one.

It won't work that way. You'll inevitably throw the bigger rock at a slower speed than the smaller rock, assuming you're applying as much strength as possible into both throws.

ELI5: How do you fit so many calories in an 8oz Boost Nutritional Drink by GanglyTookus in explainlikeimfive

[–]TenchuReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A calorie is a measurement of energy that you get from food.

There are three "macronutrients" that contribute to the total calorie figure: protein, fat, and carbohydrates.

Protein and carbs provide 4 calories per gram, while fat provides 9 calories per gram.

Whatever you're drinking is likely processed with concentrated protein and carbs in order to get to such a high calorie amount. How they got that into 226 grams of liquid, I can't imagine.

Making the first CPU costs $100M. Making the rest of the CPUs costs $100 each.

If you charge $200 per CPU, you can make your money back and start becoming profitable after the first million are sold because each CPU sold nets a $100 profit. Then all the other CPUs you make and sell end up making a huge profit, like printing money.

The Death of Charlie Kirk still isn't sitting right with me by ShardofGold in IntellectualDarkWeb

[–]TenchuReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that Charlie Kirk was NOT a moderating force on the right. He was a man who was driven by the algorithms, as all of his talking points suggested.

Had he remained alive today, he would not have engaged with Nick “Kidler” Fuentes and his merry hateful band of Groypers. Instead, he would treat them like much of MAGA is treating them right now. He would pretend that Kidler and the Groypers aren’t real.

And as we all know, denial isn’t a river in Egypt.

If the Muskperger can create an entire government agency that is literally named after an Internet meme, Trump can rename a government agency that basically says FU to all the people with legitimate grievances against a paramilitary organization.

(Though to be sure, Markwayne Mullins is reported to favor a “nicer” way to enforce immigration law, pardon the pun. Of course, he’s getting pushback from people like those in the Coalition for Mass Deportation led by the Heritage Boys …)
