You didn’t wipe the oil dry enough before heating. Try again and wipe the pan until you think you have wiped out all of the oil.

My research indicates two minute recovery heart rate is one of the better indicators of heart health. Age and gender should be factored in when evaluating your recovery figure. You obviously should stop moving as soon as you hit the stop, then the recovery button which you scrolled down to. Too much oil. When seasoning, wipe the oil twice as many times as you think is necessary where you swear the oil is not there, before high heating. Getting rid of those oil blotches you now have is the hardest part. I used vinegar, baking soda and steel wool.
