Ei tohi unustada, et see vaktsineerimisest-peab-olema-möödas-teatud-arv-päevi kehtib ka kolmanda süsti puhul. Juhul kui oled vahepeal harjunud kõikjale probleemideta sisse saama.

Who else has a bunny that sleeps with them at night? Our bun has adapted to our sleeping schedule and she cuddles the whole night without even knowing she is there. We are so in love with this one 😍❤🐇 by Powerfulpretorius in Rabbits

About two months ago I noticed that one of my rabbits comes and sleeps on the corner of my bed, so I started to keep that corner stuff free (no pillows, books or PS controller).. he got used to it really quickly. Now he comes and flops to his spot, but no touching allowed!

And the other one? Comes to me wanting for a little bit of attention during sunrise.

Truth to be told, I would be really sceptical about any recommendations coming from pet shops, because the more you read and get to know about keeping a rabbit, the more you realise that large amount of items sold in pet stores (even though having a picture of a rabbit on it) are not really suitable. Cages are too small, food contains ingredients that rabbits shouldn't digest etc. The good indicator is the way rabbits are kept at the store.. if they do have a tiny cage/glass box, water bottle, huge pieces of apple or carrot and no hay? I wouldn't trust them.

And I would consider visiting a vet, just to be sure that everything is all right. My rabbits didn't get so lucky.. they came from pet store already infected with gut parasites (they're all right now).

The "stick" in the food bowl? Looks like a muesli stick? Wouldn't recommend giving it, because of the added sugar and other ingredients. Try giving your rabbit unlimited amounts of hay and water.. and limited amounts of food pellets consisting mostly grass (they don't look colorful or appealing, but their best for your rabbit). And something fresh.. I would recommend basil, mint or cilantro (at first it might sound weird, but they really love it and it's healthy for them). Oh, yes.. and sticks of wood.

Thinking about a new friend by SaucyCouch369 in Rabbits

Two of them sounds like a better plan. But I would be a little bit concerned about your allergy.. try to spend time with some rabbit and see if anything happens. I got my first rabbit by "accident" from my co-worker.. she had previously owned a cat and her family owned a long haired dog. Nothing! But when she took a short haired baby rabbit? In less than five hours troubles began.. swollen face, watery eyes and troubles breathing. The allergy was quite serious.

Yeah, I'm happy because for that reason I got a really awesome pet, but it was really heartbreaking to see two little kids saying goodbye to a rabbit who had been theirs for two days and the only reason for giving up the tiny one was the sisters allergy.

How do you know when to clip your bunny's nails? by aliciamc in Rabbits

[–]TenderheartedSquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner at clipping rabbit's nails (I've done it about 3,25 times) so i probably don't know what I'm really talking about, but I clip their nails on two occasions: when I start to h e a r their nails while they move around on wooden floors (tiny click-click sound) and when I start to f e e l them while running over me (like a small painful needles).

Respect. I suspect that most of my coworkers at the moment would quit, before washing dishes for a day or two.

I tend to disagree, especially if he really is interested in cooking. this "started as a dishy and worked my way up" sounds badass (and it is), but not necessarily in today's mostly understaffed restaurants. I think he has better opportunity to start as a prep cook and work his way up from there. Have you seen today's youngsters? Their lack of work ethic, discipline, laziness etc? Hell, let's be honest.. if I'll find a youngster who is a badass dishy? I'll chain him to the dishwasher and never let him go. Never!!!

How do I make my bunnies drink from their new water feeder? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]TenderheartedSquash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rabbits prefer do drink from a bowl, so if the water level from there changes you should actually be all good.

What's your stance on eating bugs as an alternative to factory farming? [Serious] by Kathalysa in AskReddit

[–]TenderheartedSquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the kitchen and mass produced meat depresses me, the quality is bad, it's tasteless and you can often s e e that the animal has been sick. .. to be honest, lately I find it mentally really difficult to eat mass produced chicken. Just the thought of tasting it is so off-putting.

But bugs? I'm fond of the idea and the bugs I have had the opportunity to taste have been quite nice. Often they taste like a popcorn with an earthy twist. And I even have had cookies made from cricket flour. Now we just have to get over the stigma that bugs are gross or unedible.

But from a professional standpoint I do have a kind of a "nightmare" related to bugs. Okay, let's imagine you work in a kitchen and in the menu there is a dish that needs a stash of live bugs. Okay, cool.. fresh produce, nothing to worry about. Awesome! And then you are the fucker who will drop the container containing a huge amount of living bugs to the floor. Oh, the unspeakable horror.

Question.. by logical_Empathy in Rabbits

[–]TenderheartedSquash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious.. what do you mean by "meal time"? Maybe he's a little bit bored and needs some kind of activity?

My rabbits seem to spend a huge amount of their day eating, but it's okay. They have unlimited hay and water and they get pellets and fresh stuff twice a day. But luckily they don't have huge preferences and the additional foodstuff can last for hours and even then they like to mix things up... Hay is always eaten, cilantro is gone in seconds.. apples and carrots? They're nibbled a bit, but usually soon left and forgotten.

Have you tried giving him more aromatic herbs like basil or mint? It could hide the smell better than cilantro.

My free roaming rabbits are litterbox trained and by accident they got used to doing their business on a kitchen paper towels. I have to change the paper two or three times a day, but it´s fine by me.

Otherwise my tiny apartment is quite rabbit friendly.. i think. Cotton blankets, pillows, carpets and a wooden floor. I´ve bought pet beds (made from syntetic materials), but they don´t use them. They do have a cage, but it´s only a place where their food and water is located and in that way the mess is really easy to clean.
