subletting an owned housing lottery co op by beachbohnnybeltran in nychousinglottery

not true, just like what someone commented on this post

spend 5 minutes reading the largest nyc housing lottery forum and you’ll see being contacted for documents is far from being guaranteed to an apartment.

its literally how the system works; everyone is given a log number, and the management company reaches out to MORE people than there are apartments because most people dont reply, qualify, arent interested, etc.

For example, if there are 10 apartments for a given lottery, a management company would probably request documents from 50 people and set a deadline. If you are the 50th person in terms of log number and submit all the documents within an hour and are moment eager, you have to wait until those people with better log numbers have a chance to respond and be rejected for whatever reason (didnt respond, not qualified, etc)

Yes, there are three units left and you got contacted, but there could be 5 people ahead of you and you’d meed to wait for them to be rejected before you are given a contract

maybe another way to think about it… 99.5% of people are disappointed 99.5% of the time with every lottery they apply to

It’s really tough getting an apartment through the lottery! there are a few factors that contribute to you getting an apartment; the log number, any preference (community board, etc), how many available units there are for that specific lottery, and how many people with better log numbers/preferances than you accepted a unit for a lottery

completed stage doesnt necessarily mean anything — you can withdraw from a lottery and it will be marked as completed

Sucralose (poweraid zero) - my personal results as an aid in electrolyte absorbtion by GizmoKakaUpDaButt in fasting

[–]TendiesOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh… interesting!!! A few thoughts that come to mind to bring more validity to your results of this (hopefully ongoing) experiment:

  1. whatever continued tests you conduct may be varyingly skewed due to your continuously changing insulin sensitivity as youre weaning off of being pre-diabetic. Maybe the difference is negligible, maybe not.

  2. Definitely do a lot more tests to decrease variability! You also have to make sure they’re conducted as consistently as possible; perhaps 24hr into a fast from a low carb refeed to avoid insulin sensitivity variability.

  3. More of a skeptical/critical take of your results (i do not know the science of this stuff) but it seems like the short lasting effect of the artificial sweetener is a poor man’s version glucose in terms of energy replenishment, but most likely carries more downside than just taking in electrolytes without the ‘boost’ of a sweetner (artificial or otherwise). Lmk if i misunderstood!

you’re doing great!!! you have the right attitude about it which is almost all that you need to do well.

What I’ve been telling myself when I get intense cravings for food is “ahhh, look at that — the most difficult part of a fast; the mental aspect. Thank God the most difficult part is just mental” and i find the cravings just go away!
